Great video. Thanks for sharing. I built a set this afternoon to use as a door painting jig. One simple step to increase stability and weight bearing capability is to add a 1x2 or 1x4 horizontal cross member on the outside of the legs about half way down to make an "A" frame. That will keep the legs from splaying. Make them long to start with and after they're screwed on, mark the overhand, take them back off, cut off the overhand and reinstall to have them flush with the legs. Super strong.
First off, like the soda machine in your shop. Good job of showing a simple design that is easy to build. Have several sets with a 48" long 2x4 on top. I keep 3 each 2x10s 10 ft. long to put on top of the set of saw horses. Lengthwise cut of a sheet of plywood with out a piece falling. Also keep several 2x2s 48" long to put on top of planks for cross cutting a sheet of plywood and not hitting (cutting) the planks. Use it to hold my DeWalt miter saw, cutting up plywood, assembly, painting and scaffolding. Found that the vinyl post sleeves are 4" and just right for when using my miter saw.
Good demonstration, they look sturdy and functional. Little goes 100% perfect when demonstrating how to do something, all part of being human. Thanks for sharing.
Great video, a fool proof simple to build saw horse. I found adding ply to the each side countered the tendency of the screws, and therefore the legs, to work loose after much use
Thanks for sharing. Just built a pair of saw horses from watching your video. Slight alteration was using 2 x 6’s for the legs (the only lumber I had). They turned out great - perfect for putting my sailboat on, and strong, too 👍🏼
Well presented video, no waste of our time, and the only thing I would add are 1x4 (X) cross braces on both sides for max. stability since I've had a couple of horses pull up lame and collapse when working with heavier loads - so now for safety I use three instead of two, (much safer). Thanks for sharing from a new subscriber, hope to see some other ideas in the future.
I'm going to make some of these. I like the simplicity, everything is square cuts. Looks like you could make one of these on the fly in 20 minutes. I keep buying those folding sheet metal horses for storage that are compact and light, then I overload them and wreck them. Considering my sawhorse history I better gusst the ends. Great video!
Been building all my stuff on my driveway on my knees. Looking for some awesome saw horses that are taller these are perfect. Thank you so much for a nice video that is so easy to follow. Thank you !

Okay I made a set of these. They do go together fairly quick ,but the main complaint I have is you probably have to play around with screw sizes and placement to control splitting. Also- they are okay for light duty but if you're going tho put a lot of weight on them you might want to add some horizontal bracing between the legs close to the bottom.
Nice shop. If I want my saw bourse 36” of the ground how long do I cut the legs to and how do I figure that out? Thanks I’m advance and great saw horses
This type is the easiest and the strongest Sawhorse, it can hold 2 bundles load of 2 X 4's timber. I made few for myself and definitely they 'Don't suck. Great demo.
that's a nice tidy shop .....i leave stuff out to a point where i cant work any more and it takes a good day to wipe it down and put it away great video btw
I like your Urinal in the back ground. If you don't have a video on how you hooked it up or run water to it and septic system can you at least do a walk around video? Thanks. I am thinking something similar using rain water collection and a dry well Thanks
That is kind of how I have it hooked up. I have a 20 gallon barrel on the catwalk that I fill with the garden hose. The discharge goes into an angle straight out the wall and onto the ground.
Sounds good! Looking forward to how they turn out. I was think of giving this set a coat of spar varnish just for kicks! That would be different for sure

I think I'll put some adjustable feet on mine, like the little rubber padded screws you find on the bottom of ovens or refrigerators to level them. That will help them stay balanced on uneven surfaces
Planning on building a big table for hosting the clan on Thanksgiving. While not pretty, your horse look like they could do the trick. A big table cloth will hide the plywood and saw horses :-)
There is always one! You don’t need to know the right answer, just post it on the internet and thousands of unhappy people will tell you how wrong you are 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
RR Builder is a great Channel but you can't watch all the videos he's done it's great that you took something and read it with your own flavor keep up the great work cheers with a beer
You did a great job on those easy but very useful sawhorses. Keep up the good videos. Have A Safe and Productive Day! 😁👍🏼😎

I built 2 of these last weekend. I put a 15 degree bevel on the tops and bottoms of the legs though.

This is how I've built sawhorses for years... learned from an old carpenter on the job.
Great design man! If you're not sweat'n, you're not work'n bro. Keep it up!
Thanks Rob. Appreciate you brother.
Just saw this about simple sawhorses, just what I needed to see. Nothing fancy, but works for me.thank you.
Works for me. I was looking for a cheap way to make my own. Thanks for this. Much appreciated
I like the idea of using a rafter square.
I love the shop urinal in the back. Gives me an idea...
I use an old tide jug for my urinal
wall hung toilet and bidet?
@@lucasbalyeat8746 Good idea. Thanks.
I like the pisser beside the sink haha. Much better than a jerry can with a funnel.
Nice and easy sawhorses! Thanks for sharing.
Very nice! I will build these. Thanks
Great job, great personality 👏.
Very informative & pleasant video.
Thumbs up for the sound & video editing.
Thanks!
Thank you for keeping it simple. I made two of these and will make a few more pairs different sizes. Thanks for sharing
I just wanted to thank you for making this video🙏 I used it and built these yesterday and they are muy bueno 🥰 easy simple fast
I’ll be building a couple of these, thanks!
Right on. This is how my pap did his too.

Love this. great idea using an ' I ' beam. Easy job well explained. Subscribed. Thanks.
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Definitely a great solution for a common problem. I'd like to see more videos like this as well. Well done!
Thanks Jeff. Slowly but surely coming up with some better solutions that don’t cost thousands
A great build. Thank you for sharing this.
BRAVO !!! Just what I'm looking for👍👍 Thanks
Hi nice job
I’m a young up and coming woodworker and I am going to try this out

Great idea. Love it. I’m headed to garage to make a few sets for garage sales.
Good job mate. Give yourself a little more credit as you've helped a lot of people. Cheers from Brisbane, Australia

exactly what I am looking for. Great job
Thanks for making this video, very simple and intuitive, excellent work.
Just built two with minimal carpentry experience using the exact dimensions you shared. ✅ Thank you sir
Thanks I really needed that , I was about to go out and buy some/ work table.👍👍👍
That was so awesome and so simple
Nice and clean job
where did you buy the orange tool box laying on the floor ?

Great video, simple, concise and to the point. Just made one and will make another, thanks to you video.

Well done. Simple, straight to the point, and effective. Much appreciated!
I’m glad you liked the video!
Very nice, probably get the material today and make a set
Awesome!

Gonna make some of these the same height as my sawmill so I can slide off the flitches. Thanks buddy for showing us this
Great video im going to give it a shot...i wish i had your basement, maybe i will come over

Great job, nice and straightforward.
Going to build a set soon, probably 36” cuts for all the boards. This is awesome! 👍
Sounds good! Looking forward to how they turn out. I was think of giving this set a coat of spar varnish just for kicks! That would be different for sure
@@TheDurbinCompound I was just thinking about that, I'm looking at some ebony stain. Should turn out pretty cool
This is great but how many 2x4 did you use?
I made the same error with the legs rocking, I just glued a couple end pieces to the legs and it worked out fine!
Great job thanks sharing !
Great design. Just what I need. Going to make them right away.
Urinal in the shop you a genious !
excellent horses,simple and very sturdy
I love mine I like to attach a 2x6 to the top so I don't ruin the 2x4 on the eye beam. And then I make it longer so its easy to use a clamp on it
Thanks dude
Simple. Efficient. I love it. Thanks.
Thank you, I’m going to build them. Nice shop and pants.

Next Level Carpentry has an excellent video on these.
I like the fact that an Is beam has more strength than a T-beam.
To each his own?
Thank you
Great video
this is a dope Video - great work man
Great quick and easy video mate well done 👍
Thank you!
Another good tip to pick up from Kyle, GRK.

Nice simple design. What size holes should I drill for 3 inch wood nails
easy and useful...good job.
Thank you.
Thanks for the video. What’s up with your pants, they look cool, maybe durable, what kind are they, & do they offer any kind of protection?
Blaklader work pants. They are decent. Very heavy material. Tons of pockets.

Good job - I'll make two tomorrow --- 42 x 38
Appreciate the comment. Good luck
OMG!! Super easy! Thank you!
Nice work man! Saw Horses that will last a lifetime!
Thanks brother! You need to make one instead of making wood sheds sometime! 😂
@@TheDurbinCompound Seriously lol I got one more massive 19 ft shed then im done... I swear :)

some wood to join the legs would add strength and durability, nice video..
