Setup:
Place your Hawker Tempest on level ground. Plug in your battery flight pack and let it sit still, at this moment
the plane isin auto self-calibration mode. The LED light on the stabilization device will keep flashing rapidly
for 3-6 secs, then the light will remain solid. In the mean time the aileron, elevator and rudder control surfaces
will move up/down and left/right 3 times to indicate the self-calibration is successful.
When the self calibration has been carried out the stabilization system is still not in ready mode. Now check to
see if all the control surfaces are in a neutral position. If not, please adjust the push-rod clevises to ensure all
the control surfaces are in neutral position before flight, then cycle the battery power to store this setup.
After all these setup procedure have been completed plug in the battery once again and wait until all the
control surfaces move up/down and left/right 3 times to confirm the self-calibration before flight.
At this point the gyro is not in ready mode until you give the throttle a short blip 10-15% in order to switch on
the stabilization system. Check that the gyro responds accordingly to the plane when being tilted up/down,
left/right and the roll. (Please see the flying tips down below).
Hi mate, the HK gyro's calibrate every time the battery is first connected, the plane needs to be placed in its flying angle before every connection, when all the surfaces move back and forth thats when its calibrating!

I have one, and when I plug in the battery I lift the tail so the fuselage is level, wait for the Giro to calibrate, and it will fly perfectly, just do not go to slow in the turns, otherwise it will wing tip stall.
Also I have 50% expo on every thing
It looked great on camera Blowy . Whoever does the filming for you does a great job tracking and keeping focus as best as possible . It's very difficult to do and many channels don't look as good as your flight videos .
Too bad it was such a windy and turbulent day for this flight , it definitely makes problems hard to diagnose . I would agree when you went into self level it looked smooth but the nose pushed down and moving the battery back may help .
It's a great looker and flyer i think , and just needs to sort out some settings, adjustments and trims maybe .

Nice flight blowy 💯 I have this plane but the typhoon version from fms . I have a problem everytime I fly it . it stalls to much on every turn I make . I crashed it twice and still have it . its really one of the toughest plane I ever flew .

The tempest in this range of HK war birds is the worst flyer people say! Seen a bunch of bad reviews. Apparently the hawker hurricane is the gem of that collection. Only speaking from what I've read though. Hope you get it dialled in nicely. Its probably just the CG isn't 100% correct in the booklet like we sometimes see.
Thanks for your info. I'm flying with it tail heavy so the recommended CG must be wrong
Put 28 grams or 2 ounces under the chin of that plane and it smooths it right out and flys amazing then and i dont use the gyro at all in it.
Mine was dropping bad so it doesn't need nose weight
@@blowy48flyrc Trust me it does ive proven this over n over on that plane
@@looneytunes47 agreed, if not enough nose weight the gyro will work hard to keep it level.
With good balance it flies awesome and doesn't need the gyro at all.
do u add wieght on to the front.
No added weight and I use a 3cell 1000 35c battery
