Crop Dusting In Hooppole, Illiinois Air Tractor - Correction Ayres S2R Thrush

Driving across Henry County and came across this crop duster spraying a bean field south of Hooppole and the Green river. I just love the sound of the engine in this plane! I had to hold the camera by hand but it turned out well. Yes, I could have gotten one closer pass but I didn't feel like being sprayed. this is one of our planes yes it is a Thrush dash 10.

those guys are crazy. I wonder what percentage of them actually survive a long career doing this

We have fellow friend crop dusters who are into their 80's we have also had 2 fatalities. Most all fatalities are pilot error. It is an unforgiving business.

Debra Ousley they have to be some of the best pilots in the world. have to be Thier lives depend on it. the thing that would scare me is anytime you have mechanical machines there is always things that can go wrong and definatly no second chances in that business
