I stumbled across this while looking up Polynesian dances. Thank you so much for making this video. It is so wholesome and warms my heart watching this community come together to watch these kids perform. ❤❤❤❤

Ahh the islamd of penryhn aka Tongareva.
These are our closest neighbours to hawaii. And this tribe speak in a similar dialect to hawaii. Everything is pronounced with an L and K. Where as lower cook islands. Everything is pronounced with K and R. Like we say Kia Orana but the north tribe say Kia Olana. God bless the people of tongareva.

Congratulations on your trip, well done brother, even though it came to a crazy end, you should be very proud..A rogue wave could happen to anyone, and makes for a memorable adventure..Those people must have great lives..It's interesting that all of these indigenous people from around the planet were violently conquered by Europeans, yet adopted European religion..Mostly at the end of a barrel of a gun, but, over time, it is always adopted, and keeps the population docile while their resources and lands are continuously exploited..Sorry, just can't help but notice that reality, even in my own travels and adventures..
