Seeing those pill bottles turn into delicious looking robots was incredibly satisfying. I might need to... Get one of these injection molding machines... 🤔
Glad you enjoyed it! :D I just noticed they went from $1,800 to $2,200. :/ I'm guessing it was a supply-and-demand thing for LNS maybe. Still a really big fan of the 150A. But you being a maker, consider the Precious Plastics design. ANNND there's a gentlemen called "Buster Beagle" who makes a really neat injection mold press here on TH-cam. :D
@@TheCrafsMan It is very cool to see the recycling movement enter into more toys from makers, that's something I've wanted to do for a long while. I just built up a Buster machine and while it's half the price of LNS, the shot size is also larger... so that's all around a good thing. Great that LNS has started offering a grinder since one of those has been difficult for me to source. Hopefully a more cost effective entry level solution presents itself (maybe a variation on that paper shredder Precious Plastics build - I've been a fan of them for a few years too!) One day soon hopefully we'll see plastic grocery bags turned around into lovely AND functional ROBOTIX pilot figures for the Crafsman space station.
Love the Maker's Muse videos!!!! The buster Beagle 3D kit costs a lot less... a pneumatic conversion of these manual ones is pretty easy too, im doing it right now on my LNS150A. I did buy the BB3D 2 cu in kit recently too to play with, its really well made, but I'm concerned the 3/8" bolt may not hold up to the pneumatic pressure
@@TheCrafsMan Thanks for the plug! I have been a big fan of your videos for a while now and this is another great one. The response to my machine has been so great that I just sold out. Amazing content my man. You are able to make learning the different types of plastic extremely fun. Which is super important in our plastic-filled world and to help get kids interested in the topic.
Man I really love plastic melting mold videos. Thanks for this one!
I like the injection molding videos BECAUSE I don't have an injection molder!
It lets me vicariously enjoy injection molding without needing to spend money or time on an injection molder 😊
I love the injection molding videos, they're satisfying for me, something about the action of the lever being pulled and the plastic filling the mold, it's like an ice cream machine but you get to keep the finished product. Also maybe one day I'll have or make one and then this info will be even more directly useful. Plus I genuinely like to know what has your interest at any given time, just as I do with all of my favourite youtubers, I follow you all for a reason.
Thank you SO MUCH for this! Also, I’m working on a video about a much cheaper injection machine alternative. :D
@@TheCrafsMan That sounds like it'll be really interesting, I'll look forward to that video! Thank you for all the wonderful content you create and being such a great creator.
Loved this. Thanks for educating me on plastic recycling numbers
Thank you for so clearly explaining the different plastics. Such a rad video.
