Siguro kung nag LS sya mas mataas chance nila na mag champion. Belen-Malaluan as OH parang completo na kahit si Alba pa setter. Pero iba pa rin talaga loyalty and yung goal nila to make history. Nice decision talaga to stay sa NU with her high school teammates.

Tama rin yung player na ito because she could be an instrument to achieve the goal that even the Santiago sister was unable to accomplish which is to win a UAAP title. Kung short term goal ang titingnan mo then achievable talaga pero how about if you get injured and you cannot play anymore. Let's put it this way, look at Ara Galang for example, she got injured but DLSU did not neglect her, and was able to get back and still able to produce during her stint with DLSU. Sa haba-haba ng sinabi ko, in short "SECURITY and ASSURANCE" is what I meant.

Before, purely scholarship lang talaga plus dorm and food allowances tas yung iba syempre shoulder mo na. Unlike now, UAAP schools may mga sponsors na which they can offer more esp sa mga blue chip players that can perform well. Yes, NU has the biggest offer that I could really remember. Time yun nila Dindin and Jaja wherein nasa UST sila. Nagkaroon sila ng financial need - then NU offered them. As far as I remember - NU paid their H&L to secure yung family nila. Yung kay Allysa - purely scholarship lang yun tas nilakad ni Coach Roger yung allowance ni Allysa to provide help kasi di naman rich yung family ni Allysa nun. Pero buti nalang nag boom ang Womens VBall sa time pa ng UST-FEU/UST-DLSU/DLSU-FEU rivalry. Mas na enhance lang nung time ni Allysa kasi dun din nag boom ang socmed like Facebook/YT/IG wherein kapag nakikita sila sa TV and wearing school jersey with logo nung sponsor, matic na yun. Wala masyadong perks na nakuha si Alyssa Valdez aside from scholarship and dorm then a small amount of allowance requested by Coach Roger and to think sya rin reason why the current blue eagles receives scholarship kasi per him wala pa daw dating offer na scholarship ang Ateneo sa volleyball coz di pa naman sila competitive until he came.

Totoo yang sabi ni mckoy. Although napakalaki na naiambag ni alyssa sa ateneo, di sya nakapag enjoy sa benefits tulad ng ibang binibigay sa ibang players. Di naman kasi big time na masabi si alyssa kaya nag eenjoy na sya sa mga ganung maliit na perks. Napakabait na bata yang si alyssa kaya wala kang marinig na reklamo sa kanya. Focus lang talaga sya sa objective ng ateneo team. Di sya tulad ng ibang ateneo players na may kaya na pagpasok pa lang ng ateneo. Pero ngayon, pera pera na ang labanan sa pag recruit. At yung iba nadadala na rin na diploma nila nakatatak ang name ng elite school. Parang sa US din yan. Iba pag ivy league ang school na pinanggalingan mo. Opinion ko lang ito dahil di naman lahat ganyan ang iniisip. Di ko sila nilalahat.
