    Agree that FSD must go with owner not the vehicle. Maybe after 10 years they could add an update fee but having to buy it all over again, especially since it’s never really worked is unfair.

  • @DblOSmith
    @DblOSmith ปีที่แล้ว +26

    Only things I'd want might be bird's eye view, a CCS adapter, more service, and the rear cross traffic system. I absolutely think FSD should follow the owner. It's too expensive of an item.

    Ryan, you've mentioned lot of nice features here. At the top of my list is the vehicle to home charging for backup power. This last winter we went through 62 hours without power and the EV was in the garage with a full battery!

    Rear cross traffic monitor should be added immediately. My wife’s Honda CR-V has it and it is a 2017. It is ridiculous that Tesla does not have it. Teslas are supposed to be safe but without this feature it is lacking. It should be a simple software update.

    An option to display the side camera either fullscreen or LARGE in the center of the display when the turn signal is activated is number one on my desires.
    I would pay a Grand for Auto Lane Change in a heartbeat. The lane change "warning" now implemented works well, to inform you that you have just sideswiped a car in the adjacent lane.
    That, and restore the "Chrome" trim as an option.

I don't go for the "stealth" silliness. I have silver 18" wheel covers, white handles and camera covers on my red and on my blue model 3s. Along with the white interior, they are gorgeous, day or night. Will get the window trim done this fall.

  • @gbinman
    @gbinman ปีที่แล้ว +16

    There many relatively simple UI enhancements that I would love to have.
    1. Font size control. There is plenty of room for larger fonts. (what other devices lack font size adjustment?)
    2. Alerts. Similar to the font issues Alerts pop in the lower left corner and are hard to read, especially when one should be looking out at the road. Larger and near the top of the screen (optionally) would be much safer.
    3. Turn signal video. Similar to 2, the lower left corner is the worst location. My hand/arm blocks view the video and it could easily be much larger. The S has it in center lower screen area which is a little better. How about optional size and location?
    4. At least on my 22 M3LR, there streaming (Slacker) service often has login issues that usually cannot resolve without stopping and later resuming another leg of the trip.
    5. Today the FM radio was having real issues with a local station while not even moving. (I switched to radio only because of 4.)
    6. It really sad the the console USB connections are power only.

    I’d just like the headlights to turn on automatically when the wipers are fully on. It’s the law to have your lights on when it’s raining in many states like California for example. Plus many brands already do this. Why can’t Tesla? I have written and suggested this dozens of times over the past few years. Nothing happens.

    Also ventilated seats would be great

  • @caseychristian3735
    @caseychristian3735 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    A yes for ventilated seats and better suspension for sure - HUGE yes! The 360 view should not be part of AP or FSD. The hardware is there, they just need to update the software. This is a feature included on many, many cars that cost less than the Model Y and should be standard. It would be pretty sh*tty for them to add it only to packages costing $6K and $12K. The other thing I would like to see is the global headlights with projectors added to all Model Ys. They're included on all other Teslas at this point, including the less expensive Model 3, and now that adaptive headlights are finally legal in the US there's no reason not to include them.

    To use the vehicle battery as additional storage would be great.
    We have solar roof and three powerwalls but the additional capacity would help if the grid outage happens during cloudy conditions. (Eg: hurricane)

    1. Autosteer to reset after lane change, so you don’t need to press the control lever again.
    2. Override for the ‘speed limit’ when using Autosteer, so it does not slow down when not needed.
    3. Front camera at bumper level for use when manoeuvring, so I don’t run over my chickens!
    4. Vehicle to Load, and Vehicle to Home, with automatic Grid-sensing.

    What would be great would be many more color options. And I mean some really bright colors, lemon yellow, lime green, bright blue, hot pink, etc. Tesla always says they are the safest cars. Well, a very easy to see, can't miss it, totally obvious car would probably not get hit as often as a dull, dark, "same as all the others" car.

    Home charging would be ok but how many times would you really need that in an average year? What would be an amazing feature is vehicle to vehicle charging. If you run out of juice another tesla can lend you some range. Add an emergency beacon initiated by the driver and you can have a system that alerts nearby teslas to come to your rescue when you push that range limit a bit too far. Better than waiting on a tow truck...

One example center console does not support Data, so I researched the replacement module from TSport, however, the M3 and MY after June 15th the data wiring harness has been removed... it would be good to know what Tesla is removing from vehicles.

    Would love to an instrument cluster on model 3 & y and hopefully its standard on all models going forward. If tesla had spend the money they used to make the yoke they could've used it for implementing the same instrument cluster on the x&s and just put it in on th 3 & y , tbh it would be been more cheaper to do that.

The temperature would come up on the screen and you could roll the scroll wheel to set your desired temperature. Another one would be to say fan and scroll it up and down to set the fan speed. It’s hard to set your fan speed when you’re bouncing around in a car and you are now distracted from your driving.

    A wheel/tire package that is more resistant to curb rash
    Air suspension as an option
    An automatic zoom in feature on the navigation app so you can see complicated intersections and your path through it.

    The blind spot cameras displayed on the center screen offer little utility, and are distracting when driving at night (due to the directional signals flashing on and off). Blindspot mirrors (with the LEDs) are much more practical as most drivers intuitively are glancing toward the lane there moving to rather than towards the center console.

    Even if they can't do an up/down powered Frunk, they could do a simple update to a powered latch mechanism that allows users to close it lightly & the lock cinches it down into place. Lincolns & Cadillacs had rear trunk lids doing this back in the 90s and it's a pretty simple feature. Having to close your frunk 'in a special way' seems silly on a $60k+ car. Just drop the hood down & let the lock do the work to close it all the way. It's frustrating to hand wash your car, then get palm prints on the front because you can only close the frunk like you're pushing a child on a park swing.

    • @johnh9363
      @johnh9363 ปีที่แล้ว

      The fronk latch is a joke. You have to push down evenly with both hands to latch it. Can't slam it. Can't push it down with one hand. It will break!

    Into the Head Up Display, add integration with the satnav, so the HUD shows you which route to take, without having to look down at the main screen right as you approach the turn.
    The blind spot pop-up is too low on the main screen. It should be just under the speedometer, so it's easier to see. Also, having separate left & right pop-ups on either side of the main screen would make it more intuitive to use.
