goff landing in detroit actually feels like destiny. the pieces he has, from coaches to teammates especially this year, perfectly fit his style and successfully saved his career
Thanks for another great video. The Lions organization is peaking exactly when they wanted to. Coaches, Coordinators and players are all in tune and ready to roll. Go Lions!
Dude is a machine. Isnt the flashiest QB but he can just hammer nails all day long, stays healthy, and is scary accurate. Hes probably whip-smart too, which im sure ben johnson appreciates
BJ and AG have been highlighted throughout this and last season by the media as head coaching prospects. Unfortunately I think we'll lose them both after the season. They deserve it - but that doesn't make it hurt any less. Our only hope is they get lowballed by these teams and hold out another season in pursuit of their bags
@8:27 I love how Jamo could just cruise out of bounds, but instead decides to lower his shoulder and pop the defender. I feel like it speaks volumes of this team's mentality.
Loved the breakdown. While it is looking like we will lose Ben (especially if we win the Super Bowl [I can't believe I typed that]), I think Goff will be the key to keeping a similar style offense should Tanner take over for BJ. Additionally, people forget that Dan was calling the plays after his let Ben's predecessor go in '22.
I believe you asked if we saw others comment, The O line Committee did a bit in the mid zone Gibbs run, not sure if I can paste or if you even want, but the hosts were NFL linemen 16 years i think. You have a great knack for explanation simplicity to viewers, but they had a couple good comments . th-cam.com/video/L7xsrVKaDt0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=UyEV9Klub3vLrjLX .... 20:15 mark. Is the start. Then at the 22:02 minute mark, they call the play "96 zone insert". Theme for your great verbage and pace!
On the 3rd and 12 throw to Patrick, Goff could have possibly gotten the ball to Gibbs who had much open space. I concur they waited for the D to settle. I think it was to verify he was getting what he wanted.
Theoretically, a field goal and touchdown would have won Detroit that game. It was their defense that "exploited" Minnesota, not the offense. Detroits Defense had 12 men on i.r. and held a 14-2 team to 3 field goals. Hell, Goff turned it over 2 times.
He breaks this shit down to powder... My cousin's a defensive coordinator for one of the Big ten I'm not going to mention his name but this guy is on to something. I love the guy but you know man come on
Somebody give me markers when this guy talks about the multiple missed open receivers, dropped picks, etc, that were the real reasons why DET pulled away in this game, not some magical strategy. It's a game of Joes, not just Xs & Os. Gibbs is deadly & so is JG16 vs the blitz, but MINN should have been in that game offensively. I'm a Rams fan & can only hope they step on their own um....horns like that again.
@@Dogasaurus the biggest reason he missed those receivers is due to the consistent pressure forcing him to make snap decisions. No matter how you look at it, Detroit's defense deserves the credit for that win.
@@maniacaloffroad5338 No doubt DET dominated the MINN OL to a shocking degree, but Darnold missed reads, hesitated, and rushed unnecessarily quite a bit, too. To my eyes, he snapped like a twig under the pressure of the moment. Unless he balls out vs The Rams, he cost himself millions with that shizzle show...lol... The atrocious run defense vs Gibbs & weird strategy of not running themselves had more than a little to do with that win, imo. Any word on Arnold's injury yet ? Pretty thin at CB, no ?
As always, great film study. Would be lost without you.

Not just saved it: enhanced it! Goff will forever be known as a Lion. One of the greatest ever.
Fantastic in-depth content that is teaching me the nuances of the game!

So great to see this one, ty! Goff knows he'll get hit but for him it's just part of the job when needing the right play
Say what you can about Goff, He always gets up, off the ground. He never misses a game.
Dude is a machine. Isnt the flashiest QB but he can just hammer nails all day long, stays healthy, and is scary accurate. Hes probably whip-smart too, which im sure ben johnson appreciates
Goff has an engineers brain, he could have had a career in an advanced engineering field. Thank God he chose a football field!
You're the best in the business! Thank you!
Your videos are slick. Really nice to watch play breakdowns without all the nonsense. Keep up the good work!
My son is s bigger fan than i am and i made sure he watches all of your videos and yes he loves you coach
Love it as always coach keep them coming.
I love the graphic of gibbs with the foot stomping lol
Been subbed since early 2023, appreciate all the breakdowns you do for us coach!
Side note: I really hope Ben Johnson stays, I think he will.

Recently saw that Ben Johnson has four interviews set up during the bye week. Panthers, patriots, bears, and perhaps the Raiders.
on that 4th down stick split zero, can't we get a chip block on that free rusher to keep him from leveling Goff?
Another excellent breakdown thank you!
Man, long time watcher of your channel. Man, great video. I appreciate it.
I love the chessboard videos. I'll be looking for a drag route when I see a possible sticks blitz formation.
If you find the view looking at Goff's eyes it's a no look pass.

Perhaps a brief evaluation of the Lions D against Vikings. That good, or has Darnold developed an untimely case of the yips?
Couldn't agree with you more. They WANTED the Vikes to get into SB0 on that Jamo drag route.

@@jeffwalthorn309 love it. Will look in a little while. Working on a Terrion Arnold video.
This happened in the first meeting between the teams. This is why I believe the Rams will pick the Vikings apart.

Nice!
Can u stop doing these on the lions until after the playoffs….I wouldn’t doubt teams use your film review to learn…you know too much
They have access to all of this film. If they weren’t at least as good as him, they wouldn’t be playoff teams
😂

It doesn’t matter how much film our opponents watch. It won’t effect the outcome
