my Bills blew it in overtime but they're still my team - GO BILLS
A lot of snaggers on Sunday when I was there. Nothing grinds my gears more than ripping n snaggin! Love the videos as always. Tight Lines!
thanks man 👍 they should be gone for the year soon
Great video as always, glad you got into them at the dam! More than anything I’m honestly impressed at how smooth Mike is at smoking the cigar and bring in a big salmon at the same time lol
haha 😂 thanks Cray👍👍🎣
😂
great job at the dam that place is tough.
it can be - thanks 👍🎣
Love the start of video with sunglasses half cocked sideways! Great tips on jig use ! Cheers… Bills need a kick in ass after Sunday nightmare 😮
haha ✌👍i noticed that while editing video - thanks - GO BILLS
Hey great job guys ! Hope these trout run after the rain we had and the precipitation coming. Hoping #17 plays today, nevertheless, GO BILLS !!!
thanks man 👍🎣 we sure need the rain 🎣 GO BILLS
To Kyle I’ve seen Bill and Mike fish and have had conversations with Bill on the creeks and never seen him do any unethical style of fishing and his videos have helped me be a better trout fisherman :Bill your okay with me .Go Bills
thanks man i apprciate it 👍 GO BILLS
👍 not hard to believe at all.
Wow that was a massive king Mike got!! Looks like you guys had a good time out there, always nice to catch some late season salmon and that was a nice surprise coho too!
thanks man 👍 it was a good one 🎣 didn;'t expect there to be that many fresh green kings that far into november
Some nice fish there creeks around me are ripping should be good Tuesday hopefully the cohos came in with some trout .probably fresh kings to.nice video ..I thought you only sucked at fishing but I see you suck at netting to 🤣🤣 good video.
thanks man 👍 hopefully the rain pulls in a few more fish 🎣 i suck lol✌😂
As always. Solid video! Got my eggs last week. It’s been weird with the lack of trout running but I would assume it’ll be a late run closer to thanksgiving.
thanks man 👍 i hope your right and its just a late run but last 2 years didn't pan out either
@@BillMikesAnglingAdventures worse case. There’s always the erie tribs haha. The lakers have also started showing up around art park so at least they’ll still be options out there 😂
i been wanting to hit the lower for lakers - been a long long time
Man when you said “ don’t need to snag them like. That guyy.” That really cracked me up 😂 great video
thanks man lol 👍👍
NO HAPPY MEAL, what the heck, Mike got ripped off, lol. Beautiful day of fishing. You're right Bill, the heck they don't hit, yes they do. My favorite is a simple white grub. They hit it. Usually don't see people snapping rods unless you're at nutbag city (pulaski).
haha✌ yes they do hit if your willing to put in the time but a lot of guys take the easy way out
past few days i been using jigs n floats for the first time and the coho are crushing em (chicago) but i loose ALOT of them. im not sure if the hooks too small or what.maybe ill try those voodoo jigs like you said.
vudoo jigs are the best👍 - give them a try
Burt Dam to the rescue and Black F to the rescue as well. That frog water at the dam is a great place to run the jigs, mostly salmon and coho. I think if you were to fish the bottom end of the current. From the dam, you would catch more steelhead and browns as they sit there looking for salmon eggs drifting down. I was supposed to come there yesterday as well but was worried the water would be high from the rains. Hoping to come by next weekend. Nice to see you guys salvage the day and end the day with some delicious Buffalo wings. Gave the Happy Meal a day off 😂.
haha thanks Adrian👍🎣 - usually takes a couple days after rain for dirty water to make its way down to the dam = hope to see ya down there one of these days
check the gauge before you come down waterdata.usgs.gov/monitoring-location/04219768/#parameterCode=63680&period=P7D i normally dont fish it if turbidity is over 15
looking at the guages the rain did very little to Burt while the Erie tribs blown out Big time
@@BillMikesAnglingAdventures Good to know Bill. Thanks for that. Great tool to use before heading out. Appreciate it.
Coho are salmon. 🤔
Looked like an awesome day at ole dirty burt. You guy’s should be well set for sacks for the year
we're set now 🎣 thanks
That’s pretty cool. I didn’t know big kings hit on jigs under a float.
caught many kings and coho on the jigs over the years
Nice man, a few nice fish evens out the weekends when the Bills blow it.
almost 👍 thanks
That was Definitely a pig Mike landed and worth the trip.... Burt is was it is but you definitely always have a chance of landing a few monsters
that is true , better shot at a Monster on Ontario tribs
Looks like smaller numbers of people fishing. No skunk and Go Bills!
just for that day 👍🎣 GO BILLS
Nice hope the snow isn't too bad there today
thanks ✌ 49" so far but stopped for now - 8 to 12 more tonight😲
Hey bill(& mike). I always end up researching your “ black f jig” after one of your great videos. The choices are 14 years ago or seven, have you a new one in the works? I know if it ain’t broken don’t fix it . Maybe you did get a whip finisher…..
Anyhoot thanks for the adventures
haha neve did get a whip finisher - i stick with the 7 year version - thanks ✌
Hey thats me in the orange hunting jacket
✌
Bill I always wanted to fish with u or at least meet u and come out In one of your videos I went to burt a couple weeks ago the early the better run at burt
see ya out there one of these years
Love to see your videos! I am new to salmon fishing and was wondering what rod and reel/line are you guys using? Keep up the great content!!
thanks man ✌ we use our steelhead rods with 6lb line for Salmon - not ideal - probably better with a 9 - 10' rod rated for 8- 12 ln line for Kings
I Caught many trout and steelhead on large and small Black F jig. Great pattern.
one of the best jigs
wow huge one Zod
🎣✌
Hahahahaha respect the glasses ✊🏼🫡😂
😎
As the out of staters say…. Good hook
haha 🎣✌
Give us your rod specs in your next video bill 👍🏽
if i can remember lol 😜
what rod is best for salmon fishing at the oak?
we use our Steelhead rods rated for 4 to 8lb line but definitly not ideal for Salmon - something in the 9 to 11' range rated for 6 to 12 lb line probably better
You're right the Salmon and do hit I was using a float with 6 lb leader and a pink egg sack at The trestle and I caught a giant salmon
they do hit for sure but its tough so most guys take the easy way out and snag
Ya I don't snag I use a center pin and I'm only 11
Banging at the burtt. No skunkin
🎣👍 NO SKUNKIN
Hay Bill no centerpin ?
i felt i could work the jigs better with the spinning gear
Do you tie those Marabou jigs yourself?
yes for many years
Do you tip your jigs with anything?
sometimes waxworms but i think mostly plain jig this time
Great video Bill glad to see someone is catching some fish at Dirty Burt. Seemed slow this year. I’m a Steelers fan but watching the Bills game now it’s a nail biter. Go Bills I hope they make it all the way! If you can remember what is the hoop size on your blue net? I’m in the market for a new one.
Thanks 👍 Bills blew it today but still my team - not sure on the hoop size but it was largest net they had at captain Bobs outgoors
I got a 10lb atlantic Monday. And my buddy went Tuesday and caught a 18 pound brown
those are both rare quality fish 👍🎣
@@BillMikesAnglingAdventures can't believe all these years I haven't ran into you guys yet
we get around - see ya out there someday✌
The fishing this year is rough man. Ontario tribs are hurting bad right now
its tough - been that way last few years
@@BillMikesAnglingAdventures sure has been. Horrible
I’m confused do the cohos run later than kings (this is my first year doing this so idk lol)
Also what float/split shot do you use with the jig?
on this creek they normally run later than kings - thanksgiving time is probably peak but i have caught fresh run coho in early january
9 gram raven float with just enough shot placed near float for balance
Thank you for clarifying that lol thank you for the advice also
There's definitely no steelhead in that river.
there are a few - like i said washington chambers creek transplants
Voodoo jigs are the best!!
the hooks are sharp & strong
One medium king gives you enough eggs for the year? 😂
3
@@BillMikesAnglingAdventures Damn. We have salmon in the rivers pretty much all year. The late fall and spring kings start to show up around February then we have summer kings that show up in June then fall start in August. That's just the rivers. Then there's the ocean fish.
@@BillMikesAnglingAdventures We use a lot of eggs.
Why would you want to catch boots? You want chrome.
here the salmon turn dark even before they enter the creeks - only chrome is out in the lake
Is that a BOB in Mike's mouth? He shouldn't talk with his mouth full lol
🙄
Some fishermen men they are!!!???? At oak orchard NY. I watched I believe BILL walk into shallow water and grab a salmon by the tail with his hand and put it on a stringer!!!!! That’s like putting lead weights into a fish during weigh in at a tournament . They talk a good game but…. Typical polaski type fisherman that SNAG fish and call themselves fishermen, disgrace to the sport.
Disgrace 😂😲😁- all we do is snag fish - 🎣 be sure to like and subscribe
Kyle Conklin
You’re a joke! Bill and Mike have showed and taught more people how to ethically and legally catch salmon and steelhead more than anyone on You Tube.
@Bill you always have key board warriors who can’t out fish you and want to stir up the pot. Keep up the great videos bud.
thanks man i do appreciate it 👍👍 theres always going to be some hate
I am wondering. Where is Polaski? Is it near the Salmon river in Pulaski N.Y.? Or is it closer to where you live? Let us know. Enlighten all of us at your altar of knowledge!
What's the matter Kyle, did you break your rod at Burt??
