Congrats! The beginning of this video was so sweet, I loved seeing everyone's reaction to you getting accepted. Which classes did you take for prereqs?
Congratulations! Very proud of you! Medical field is not even for me. However, I have know students from my class at a 2-year college that works at the medical field. My bio uncle is a nurse, and my first bio sister is studying to be a nurse from college. I have a nephew which is her son. My bio grandma works at a hospital. I still chatted with them during the distance. Even though I do not feel love for them, I have more respect and empathy for them. I treated the same way as I treated my family who I grew up with. They are doing a great job working in the medical field. They helped out with the people for patients as nurses. My dream career is to be an actor and journalist. Acting was my dream career at a young age. However, I did not have the time to do all that because I had to travel all over the states because my dad’s military. He is technically my stepdad, but I always call him dad because I grew up with him as a child. I am writing my own book which is called My Life Throughout with Autism and Being a Military Child. I am writing about my family and about my challenges with autism. Also, I wrote about what schools I went to all over the states and how hard is to be moving around a lot. I have wrote about from my childhood to adulthood. You did a great job with your academics and working at a medical field. I have more respect to the people who are working in the medical field. I can truly relate to that. Even though medical field is not my thing, I have known people from a 2-year college who works at a medical field. Congratulations on your acceptance at a PA school. I really enjoyed watching your video because your video has inspired me about my first bio sister, my bio uncle, and my bio grandma. My bio dad works as mechanics of fixing cars. He loves doing it more than school. My bio grandpa was a mechanic as well! He passed away during Christmas in my first time attended to high school. He was a great grandpa. He used to take care of me back in my childhood. I was born in the city of Buffalo in New York. I lived there in my early childhood until age 5. I was in kindergarten when it was my first time being in a military move. If my dad was not in the army, I would not be moving all over the states. I would been living in the city of Buffalo in New York all my life dealing with the cold weather haha. Again, your video has been very helpful to me. I really enjoyed watching your video. I have been studying at a 2-year college within 7 years. I will be earning my AA degree in Liberal Arts this semester in May. After I complete with my AA degree from a 2-year college, I will train for acting in the studio. Then, I will work on my BA degree in broadcast journalism. I will be working on my BA degree within 4 years. I will not be earning my BA degree until I am 28 or 29. I am 25 for right now. There is no rush to be getting college degree at all. Everyone has their own pace of college experiences. Then, I will be working on my MA degree when I turn 30 or 31. It all depends on what job I get. I will probably might doing two jobs at the same time. While I will be working on my BA degree, I will be doing internship for journalism to receive college elective credits. Again, you did a great job with your video. That is very impressive! Once I get my ceremony posted on my first book, I will announce it on TH-cam of where to get my first book. For right now, I am working on my second book. It might have the same content but different chapters. My name is Andres by the way. It is pleasure to meet you! Good luck at the medical field and at a PA school! God bless you and your family. 🙏❤️
Congratulations!! This is an incredible accomplishment! I was wondering when did you get your MA job in undergrad and how did you work it into your school schedule??
I got my MA job sophomore year & I worked part time! When registering for classes, I tried my best to fit my classes in two or three days, then the other days I worked
I am working on my classes as well.I got only 4 classes to take and i am going to apply for PA school next year Lord willing .... I am a pharmacy techician and i do immunizatiom so i do have patient contact hours. :)
Hey I need few suggestions from you I recently got admitted in Southern Illinois University carbondale for undergraduate (Biomedical engineering) and I want to be a pa. Is this couse ok to do pa. Can you please guide me through this i'm confused about the whole thing and what to do.What extracurriculars should I have
Hi there !! Great video! Do you recommend getting a Ma certification or working as an ophthalmic technician for PCE? Is it true that Pa schools prefer applicants that have a higher role as their PCE ? Also! When do you think I should apply to PA school? I already graduate with my BA but I am missing pre reqs so my advisor recommended me to take bio anatomy n physiology at a community college. I have some hours as a behavioral technician for PCE but it isn’t enough. Help pls!
I believe it’s about having a strong mindset and discipline. Making a list of priorities is helpful but remember you have 24 hrs in a day, you can always spend 3 hours doing this, and the next 3 hours doing something else. Split up your times and your days and I think that helped me a lot! I saved my going out and free times for dinners and the weekends
Hey!! I'm also a junior planning to apply in the next two weeks. How many schools did u apply to and how many did u get into/ waitlist? I have similar stats and don't want to undershoot the # of schools to apply to
I just applied! I don’t think there is an education requirement besides having graduated from high school because I got my 1st MA job when I was in undergrad. It is also paid yes! There are also volunteer opportunities available where you would do the same duties as an MA but those wouldn’t be paid though.
I am an undergraduate student, and I graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science (PA Track) with a minor in psychology in December 2024. Im applying to PA school in the summer of 2024, and I hope to start in May 2025 or August 2025 (depending on the school). I’m really nervous I’m not gonna get into my dream school on the first try (University of South Alabama). Here’s what my stats will be when I apply: - Overall GPA: 3.88 - Science GPA: 3.75 - Patient Care Hours: ~500 (scribing and caregiving) - Volunteer hours: ~ 40 hours - PA Shadowing Hours: ~ 90 hours - GRE: Unknown. I’m retaking it in May, so I don’t know yet. My last test score was 294, and I barely studied. I’m retaking it and studying for three months beforehand, and I’m aiming for a 300 or higher. - Letters of Recommendation: 2 PAs, 1 MD My main concern is that I’ll be rejected because I don’t have a competitive amount of direct patient care hours.
@@NN-ko8fu does the volunteering have to be medical? My ~40 is for medical, but if it doesn’t have to be medical volunteering, I’ve probably done ~300 volunteering at church and at my city zoo.
Even though asians are POC, don’t asians tend to have the highest acceptance rates/make up a large amount of college students? Wouldn’t that make it even harder to get in it?
To have that many people excited for her is so heartwarming to watch.
Congrats! The beginning of this video was so sweet, I loved seeing everyone's reaction to you getting accepted. Which classes did you take for prereqs?
Every school has different prerequisites, but it’s usually chemistries, biologies, psychology, A&P, and a few others
Watching this and taking notes like I'm not a pre-dent but STILL VERY PROUD OF YOU OMGG
I’m waiting for your dental acceptance 🫣😫😫😫
IM SO PROUD OF YOU😭🤍
Love this for you Kat!!! Keep doing amazing things!
ahh thank you for ur support ❤️

How did you become a medical assistant? Is there a certain level of education you must obtain? Is it paid?

OMG... I wish I was a minority woman so I could be super underqualified and get into PA school!!!!
Even though asians are POC, don’t asians tend to have the highest acceptance rates/make up a large amount of college students? Wouldn’t that make it even harder to get in it?
Also…most pa programs consist of women simply because men aren’t applying at such a high rate. If you’re male, you actually have an advantage LOL.
Wtf. This comment was not necessary.
You know what else is not necessary...affirmative action!!!@@SarangiNepali
Yo chill man! 😆
