when i was young i had a pal whose face was unreadable as gallifreyan and who had a brow as dour as a thundercloud one day i was walking up the hill to his house to chainsmoke and talk about random trivia for hours and he had his electric guitar amp right up to his his bedroom window playing the ghostbusters theme down the street really rudely loud X'D i was crying. "It's always the quiet ones" ...playing ghostbusters
@caxtonman agreed, but with one adjustment...we think things like this but lack the wit and intellignece to articulate them so succinctly and with such pith and venom :)
So in Beat The Burglar, a husband allows a man who is stronger and more aggressive than himself to penetrate the safeguards of his house and then violate every pore of it, while he (the husband) watches helplessly from a closed-circuit monitor. After the whole house is trashed, the two men meet and the husband thanks him for the deed. Have I got this right?
i wish charlie brooker would review some more good shows. as the man well knows, taking the piss out of such shite telly is laughably easy if you own a brain. and by good shows, i don't mean fucking dr. who. brook mentions briefly nostalgia plays a part, but he must be playing down how much of a part it is. he's got too good taste to not know how naff it is. at least he mentions stuff like the ascent of man. i'm hoping he leaves the massively popular drivel alone later on.
Charlie says things exactly what most 'normal' people are thinking - he's brilliant!
"...unless you're homeless". This guy is great! Literally LOL.

I bet that beat the burglar show is hosted by dom littlewood
Eccleston was the best doctor, I hated tennant so much.
Also "yeah hi phil what the fuck are you doing here" hahahaha
This is why I prefer Matt Smith to David Tennant, David seemed to act wacky, whilst Matt seems to just be eccentric
How is Charlie Brooker not executive producer of Doctor Who? No offence Moffat.
