This is my favourite classic car, I had one many years ago and it was excellent, smooth, comfortable, and drove really well. People used to say: but it only has three gears! I replied, this car only needs three gears. It would go right down to twenty miles per hour in top gear, and smoothly drive from there to over one hundred MPH. If I had one today, I would get the valve seats redone to use modern fuels. Also, replace the old single choke down draft carburettor, which was very wasteful with the fuel. To a pear of twin choke down draft Webber's. It is just a lovely motor. Thanks for showing it. 😁
Do love the time spent on this car - not quite concours, but close. For £26,432 you'd expect it to be though! Non-original electric fuel pump is hideously noisy - with all the bucks shelled out I would have bought the quietest one on the market. Should have left the original in the engine bay, though. Oil cap is wrong and should be an oil bath for an Oz car. Non-Oz brake auto master cylinder is wrong too, but looks nice. They should have thrown the ridgy-didge Oz number plates in for the price. Does do a warm start nicely and the inlet manifold doesn't leak and the exhaust doesn't blow - the non-kosher pipes and clamp make it worthwhile. I wouldn't drive it much, though - the Oz-correct intake rubber hose breaks! Non-kosher radials are a real turn-off (unless they were period Michelin 'X', lol) as they make it a mongrel to park, and it's got an oil drip, although there are classes of 'concours' now. Where's the wheelbrace and jack? (watch out - it puts dents in the rear door - ask me how I know!). Sorry, but with years spent flogging yourself under the bonnet of one, you get to notice some things.

The marks are corrosion. not minor marks
Would have looked better if the rust was repaired and the locking mechanism on door was removed befory spraying.
Door striker plates are supposed to be body colour.
