The Scottish Resistance might be the most underrated weapon in the game, since nobody expects the Demo to have multiple traps unless they actually saw them use it prior. You can even lay two traps at a doorway, one above and one under, and if someone baits your trap, det one and then the other as they walk in. It works MUCH more often than it should.
Yea it's a great trap and defensive tool. I've straight up carried a payload game just with traps, not even getting a ton of kills, just keeping people away from the cart.

A Scottish Resistance Demo is usually considered either a Sticky Trapping Master or a New Player. Mostly since it’s too complex for a newer player but outclassed for a normal ‘Meta’ demoman.

Actually Scottish Resistance pairs greatly with the Base Jumper. Longer firing distance negates longer fuse time and faster firing speed and more stickies makes it easier to carpet-bomb. Plus, your traps stay until you detonate them specifically

Can you even actually hack with Scottish Resistance? Like, sticky spam is out of the question so any sort of projectile aimbot wouldn't really do anything. I think the only proper way would be a hack that detects enemy bounding boxes in sticky explosion radius and automatically detonates those stickies without requiring your awareness.

2 mechanical advices on *Scottish resistance:* *1) It has increased fire rate* - you can shoot much faster. In video you were shooting like with default one. *2) Detonation under your feet* - you don't have to gaze on layed stickies to jump.
No lie, I wish they got rid of that second point. I absolutely love Scottish resistance but at least 50% of my deaths are because I run over and panic det a sticky under me that I had completely forgotten about.

I would say Equalizer because it's the worse weapon of the pickaxes. With Escape Plan you can at least go on crazy crit sprees with it at high speeds. Equalizer is just shit and the extra damage benefit is also bad.

Persian persuader is honestly my favourite demo sword, since you get a full charge meter after a kill you can use it for a massive pinball after a kill, or just to get in and out real easy. As well as just using other packs around the map.
I'm not afraid of a demoknight until they use the persian persuader well. Instantly they go from not even close to oh my god they could just chain kill me at any moment.
When you have the extra melee range of demo's swords, spies don't really have an opening to trickstab you unless you move really sloppily. Most of the time it's really difficult for them to get close enough
Usually when I die to stickies and I see them, I always catch them at the last moment so my brain doesn’t process, ‘hey, you’re about to be blown to pieces’ and then I’m blown to pieces

Have you ever heard of soldier named "Mad Jack"? You´re Mad Jack. Weird choice of weapons and just scrary effective for being so weird with strategy that the opponent doesn´t expects it and doesn´t know what to do.
idc what they say, this is by far my favorite sticky launcher. i have pipes for real time combat, my stickies are meant for area control and these are simply uncounterable. on payload you can just spam 8 of them at once and people wont be able to remove them all, them you explode them and poof everyone is gone

you can play hybrid knight with the persian persuader on hightower because of how plentiful ammo packs are, both from map and the corpses of deathmatchers. i like running back and forth between the stairs behind the final elevators.
Persian pursuader is amazing for full demoknight- Getting charge on hit is super useful and the downsides don't actually do anything because of your lack of a primary and secondary weapon It can be alright on hybrid too, but if you're playing it on normal demoman you're just crippling yourself
It occurs to me that high tower may be the best map for Scottish Resistance. Every part of the map is used all throughout the match, that makes it easy to just place a trap anywhere and still get good use out of it. I bet it would work great on Harvest for the same reason

Why the Scottish resistance instead of sticky jumper? The jumper would probably be more useless since u barely have any stickies, can only put out 2 at a time, and can’t even damage people or building with it
I don't even care if there's 14 stickies out, keep setting up new traps and the auto destination from the first stickies will catch people by surprise more often than not. At the bare minimum, those stickies serve as area denial
the Persian persuader is not useless it's meant to give you as many charges as you can use since you can literally charge as many times as you want by standing over ammo boxes to recharge your charge attack faster if you stand over a large ammo box your charge attack will be refreshed instantly
Would love to see you use one of my favourite bad loadouts: Ali Baba's (or Bootlegger), Sticky Jumper, and (to make it really bad) Pain Train or (to make it better, and tons of fun) Scotsman's Skullcutter.

When players see a Scottish Resistance sticky, they either assume the Demo who placed them dosen't pay attention to it or assumes the worst.

The Persian Persuader is actually really good, because the charge is infinite just by holding *right click* by touching near the ammo pack.
Pairs well with the Tide Turner in Degroot Keep. If you keep on charging and killing you essentially get constant charge.

iirc, you can m2 when there's scottish resistance skicky below you and it activates that sticky for sticky jumping

Swap the scottish resistance for the sticky jumper and then you'll have a problem.
