    Note: My comment about iOS being limited to displaying images when using two Gen 2 projectors comes from information I found online. I did not buy two gen 2 units to test this myself.

    One viewer asked me how loud this projector is. After streaming Netflix for an hour on my Gen 1 Freestyle it remained at 25db which is comparable to other similar sized projectors.

    How do you connect hard drives on this projector? No usb a port. Only micro hdmi and usb c port for charging?

    • @DrDinB
      @DrDinB  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can use a usb-c hub. I use that to pass power to the projector while connecting a usb-a thumb drive with videos on it.

    is the image even clear enough? thats what i worried

    • @DrDinB
      @DrDinB  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So, this projector is limited to 1080p. I can tell that there is a big difference in detail compared to my 75” 4K TV. However, that is to be expected once you enlarge the projector’s image to 100+ inches. If you want the picture to be sharper you will need to bring the projector closer to a wall or screen to reduce the size of the image while retaining full resolution. Just one of the many compromises of having a gigantic screen in your coat pocket.

    😮😮 also freestyle 2 looks less wide smaller than 1

    • @DrDinB
      @DrDinB  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That is just due to the recoding or the way I copied the image. The actual units are exactly the same.

    Does this have color correction if one has a dark wall?

    • @DrDinB
      @DrDinB  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, but you have to use Samsung’s SmartThings app. That will allow you to adjust colour automatically. Otherwise you will need to go into projector settings and adjust it yourself.

    Amazon has the 2nd Gen Project on sale for 25% off which is a much more reasonable price than when it was first released: amzn.to/47Tf8W6

    • @DrDinB

      No. The projector has a maximum resolution of 1080p.

    I have the same opinion as you have regarding this Freestyle Gen 2.
    It seems thet this year, Samsung just released the old products with minor changes or improvements plus adding a new name: Galaxy S22 vs S23, Tab S8 vs Tab S9, Freestyle vs Freestyle Gen 2

    • @DrDinB
      @DrDinB  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, Gen 2 is what Gen 1 should have been. Hopefully they used a weaker system on chip due to supply chain shortages rather than planned obsolescence.

      Currently 2nd gen at 699£ and 1st gen 499£. Should I save some money and just go for 1st or better 2nd gen?

    • @DrDinB
      @DrDinB  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@midGodLoL I would save 200£ and buy Gen 1.

    Hi is there lag in gaming hub and do you think 1st generation will get gaming hub soon that's the only thing I'm attracted to otherwise it's the same to me

    • @DrDinB
      @DrDinB  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don’t think that Gen 1 will get it because a) it is not fast enough to run it well b) Samsung wants to sell Gen 2 so they will keep the gaming hub exclusive to that model

    😮generation 2 has an update 1222 what does that do?

    • @DrDinB
      @DrDinB  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I will try to find out but most of the recent updates have been stability fixes and minor updates to the menu system.

      Thanks also the volume on 2nd generation audio seems lower, I put it on 10 and seems weak, i went on Samsung website and 2nd generation width less by 2cm

    How’s the the built in Xbox gaming?

    • @DrDinB
      @DrDinB  ปีที่แล้ว

      It was fine for single player games. I found a bit of input lag in Call of Duty. However, I am more sensitive to this because I got used to play it on my tv on Xbox Series X.

      @@DrDinBhow did you play COD on gamepass? I've been reading it won't be available till 2024.

    • @DrDinB
      @DrDinB  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@devanm4622Not on game pass. Xbox chief said that Activision Blizzard games might never come to Game Pass. My guess is that they might add older COD games to game pass and expect you to buy the newest one.
