Don’t be confuse buying the dip in a bear market, with guaranteed future returns. Just because that company is down 60%+ from ATH does NOT make it a sound long-term investment. Make sure you’re investing in great companies. kudos to kiana rachel

I agree. Based on personal experience working with an investment advisor, I currently have $1m in a well diversified portfolio, that has experienced exponential growth. It is not about having money to invest in stocks,but also you need to be knowledgeable, persistent, and have strong hands to back it up.
A simpler option is to just invest or trade in Nifty 200 Momentum 30 and Nifty Midcap 150 Momentum 50 index funds.They catch only stocks which are in momentum. Still incase if you want do DIY then take the stocks from these indexes and trade them.
Chalo someone has common sense. For a vast majority of people those funds are far off better than anything else. The amount saved in stcg taxes if you are willing to hold the fund for years is so great.

But Saketh, if I follow the rule of thumb that i wont risk more than 1% of my PF in a trade, with a 10% SL(like you said), i can get a max position size of 10% of my capital. And like you said, with moves 30-40% i can move my PF by 3-4% but catching such big moves are quite tricky. whereas if i can have a position size of 25% (with a stop of 4%) then a +12% trade will move my PF up by 3% I feel it is much easier and the odds of it going on your side is also high.
True. I too follow the second method you stated. I tried the first one for a few months but it didn't work for me. Having a huge SL means we need a bigger move to win. Many stocks used to move in my favour but used to reverse and I had to get out at breakeven.

@@rithik64 use a risk:reward of atleast 1:2 .. so even if you lose 5/10 trades.. you will still be profitable

just go through cnx 500 (top 500) charts every sunday. it will take 1-2 sec per chart to check each chart breaking ATH. so total of 1000 sec. Or 15-20 min of sunday.
That's a very simple scanner. Every stock market website would have it. Chartink, moneycontrol, screener etc

You are not mentioning what we do if stock crosses very high after breakout. Where to enter in that case?
If the risk to reward is not favourable. For example if you feel the stop loss you have and the potential target has a Risk: Reward of less than 1:3 avoid the trade

Nice Video Saketh.... my concern is if stock attains peak then how can we judge if it will sustain the continue upward movement and do not fall. How to check whether stock reached at its peak is genuine move and not artificial which can burst any time?
You will have a stop loss. Hardly around 5-10% from the entry lvl, which means you will lose around 0.5-1% with 10% allocation.
This means you will have a defined risk with SL or false break out.

How to find out stock all time high
The breakout stocks shown have been tested twice or thrice in the last 5-6 years. You are showing stocks only after hitting all time high and have reason exponentially. On the date of all time high you may not be knowing the direction of the stock which might behave like yesteryears. so identifying the momentum stocks after ath is almost a guess, I presume. Pls comment if you hv understood what i m trying to convey. Thank you Saketh

E.g If the initial Sl is say 3000 and my "Overall trail sl of 1:1" is selected, in that case if my trade is in 500 profit, then overall sl is reduced to 4500.❤

Not all stocks have FnO, only the most liquid stocks have FnO
Option premiums are affected by Greeks, IV, volatility, expiry dates, strike price, moneyness and so on. I’d suggest you start with a few beginner books on learning options trading. Best wishes.

I don't know what is wrong but the stock is yet to give breakout as I see in my Trading View and also on Groww , I have been tracking it for a while. I have seen this discrepancy couple of times between Groww charts and Trading view. Now I see this in your charts. If you are aware please let me know why this happens ? Or can you check the same chart on any other terminal.

brother, how did sellers enter at ATH. Did they allowed to carry forward selling stocks when there is no way of FNO of that stocks to push it down. Can you explain why sellers entering at ATH and what did they expect.
There are people who bought it at bottom,middle and those who were already into it since years from ATH who are just exiting their positions,some are booking their profits and then there are institutions and retailers who are selling it in huge quantities in intraday near ATH to make quick money

Then one fine morning a rapid sell off happened. In a matter of days it fell to sub 10 hitting the lower circuit continuously. Now it’s.8 rupees. The runup and sell off happened without any obvious reason. During the breakout in the run up weeks it also looked like a genuine breakout with volume

With small capital i would suggest to go for momentum trading in option buying with strict sl and by managing the risk . You can really get good rewards .
