I’m surprised being from Mexico City he doesn’t have any good “ghost” stories. My grandmother used to be a caretaker for school located near La plaza de las tres culturas in Tlatelolco. Which is where the 1968 massacre happened among other events. And my dad tells me he saw a lot of things in that area when they lived there.

If you’re avoiding confusion between “being a native of the US” or being a “Native American”, how would it make sense to add ANOTHER SEPARATE PLACE (India) to the mix? From my experience with an indigenous friend he said that someone born in the US could be in his tribe if they followed a process. I did not inquire further. Take that with whatever amount of grains of salt as is required for a random YT commenter.
