It wasn't her past that broke the relationship. It was the lack of transparency. For women it's very easy to acquire sexual partners and for men it's a reliable indicator of fidelity or lack thereof. If she'd been transparent about her past sooner perhaps he'd have accepted it . The lack of transparency and the fact that she's still friends with some of the sexual partners is a deal breaker for most men.
