Personally, a keypad for me is good because I use a laptop and am a student. Thus meaning that without a portable small keypad, my option are either using a laptop keyboard or whipping out a dedicated keyboard.

You memorize the parts you struggled with and the parts you got down were from fast eye coordination and memorization . And response time . So yes it’s both
he didnt really memorize anything, he just has decent reading and decent finger stamina. Unless you are playing with flashlight (you can barely see anything with that mod)

I have the default keyboard that came with t my computer (membrane ofc) and it makes me feel like i'm just slapping a metal board after a good 30 minutes. Should I get a keypad? Buy new switches. You can get 10 for a couple bucks off of basically any mechanical keyboard parts website. Unless you mean you fucked up the PCB.
I bought one and it works like shit, sadly. Might be bad luck but it just doesn't work well, sometimes the inputs doesn't register for 1-2 seconds
