The maxx v2 is so much fun
That spot is sick.
WOW! That Maxx is truly a beats! Thanks for yet another awesome video guys! 😁👍🏼😁👍🏼😁👍🏼😁👍🏼
I agree 👍
I love my Maxx if you don’t have one. You need one!!!👍😁😎✌️
Im planning on it will look real nice next to the old Tmaxx 👍
I needed another Traxxas video! Thank you 😊
Yes Sir
Astonishing as always!
I've had Sledge belted tires, the steel axles, and 20/50 gearing on my Maxx v2 for a few months now. works great to get rid of chassis slap with the extra ground clearance and it looks like more of a mini xmaxx, but it needs some supporting mods to work right. The factory servo saver is too weak for the big Sledge tires, so budget a set of Hot Racing bellcranks. otherwise the servo moves and the tires don't sometimes. you will get some cogging at low speeds with the factory electronics and the big tires, but it's not a big deal unless it bothers you. It bothered me enough to switch to a hobbywing max8 g2 combo. it's super smooth now since it's a sensored motor and esc.
Great tips man!!
Love the maxx
same
It really is the best.
I agree 👍 One day i hope to have one
@@michaelgraham2943no you don’t it’s great but not the best
Ok thanks bro
Great spot and killer vid. Great job
Awesome just got back into the hobby with the e-Revo vxl looking forward to getting one of these soon !!!!!
Very good choice. You will not be disappointed for sure
For some reason, people just want to hate on the E-revo platform. It’s one of THE most capable platforms on the market, and highly upgradeable and customizable. Mine has been nothing but awesome.
And I’ve cart wheeled it into a mailbox post going at least 45mph, broke the receiver box lid and put a small crease in the body.
It’s certainly one of my more durable rcs.
Me too 👍
Seems good mate! Gimmie MORE!
The day they come out with a maxx ultimate is the day I buy a new truck.
Those are the tires it should come from factory!!
Those are? Sledgehammers right? I got those on mine stock
Traxxas is the best!❤🔥👍🚀🤘
I agree 👍
Not really
The MAXX is so good it's almost to good.
The old one was much better..
@@rcplayground7mate ive owned one for years, handles like a champ and has only ever broke once
@@olibobs1411 Wish they bring back the old one
@@rcplayground7 you mean the v1, you can still get that
Exactly 👍
That looks like an awesome spot for bashing, cool guys 👍
I agree 👍
Looks good 👍
You guys should hit up Rivian. As someone who works there and owns a stampede and summit, I think a collaboration should definitely happen.
You make the best videos
Awsm video @traxxas , sure is Sledge tires ❤..
I love my maxx
I love my MAXX I Love my XRT I love the Traxxas stuf🤙
Exactly 👍
137 days of waiting for traxxas to release the bandit 4x4 BL2s
Wicked 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The Champ 👍
Awesome! I think the stadium and monster trucks are the coolest!
Also y'all forgot the signature full-throttle takeoff at the end. 😭
😆to predictable
We need a new nitro 🙏
Love it
its awsome
Sledge tires ? Those don't look stock size
Yea. I was wondering.
They are Stock on the Actual Widemaxx V2
Definitely ain’t stock, I have the Widemaxx and the truck don’t look that small against the tires.
@@Enforcers10 No there not i own my self a maxx
True true, looks normal for me, because i drive the e-revo tires on my Maxx for years now. Well the video description shows „Tires from Sledge“ :)
Wish to own one like this oneday
Exactly 👍
So what exactly was changed to run these tires Traxxas? Just a vague mention in the post...
literally nothing.. just an experiment to see if the bigger wheels/tires would perform on the big jumps and flip easier w/more rotational mass. They bolt straight on.
"...and gear for maximum performance..."
Mega nice 😊🤩🤩🤩
Traxxas is the best
The best at making the worst rcs!
@@Rckid28If that was true they wouldn’t be number 1.. They may not be the best at everything but as far as a full rtr in the box, they offer the most fun and performance for all ages. Traxxas may not make the BEST rc truck but they make the absolute best rtr in the box to date with unmatched parts support and that’s was the majority of people want. 🤷🏻♂️📈
@@elijahbyers5960 we want powerful electronics and servos that don’t fail
@@Rckid28that’s why you follow. Kinda double standards guy. Just leave
Nice 👍
Hmm. Those tires are a little too big for that truck. While it’s larger than most 1/10 trucks, it’s still smaller than 1/8 trucks.
The stock sledgehammers look perfect on it, while these larger sledge tires don’t look good on it.
Yea it definitely looks a bit wonky
Traxxas the best rc company on this planet. Thanks for so many awesome RC’s 👍🤟👍
Oh yeah 😎
Sledge tires ?
Those tires came out before the sledge and was offered as an optional wheel and tire for the maxx
@ericmorris866, you're wrong
Bring back the funny car.
It might happen because it seems like they are bringing some older models back so it might happen.
Is it just me or do the Sledgehammer tires on this truck look slightly bigger than what’s been on the V2 thus far?? I looked at the website and it doesn’t say anything about any recent updates to the Maxx…green is definitely my favorite color on these!
I was thinking that too.
The video description says "what happens when you add larger tires from a Sledge and gear for maximum performance" so Sledge tires are 3.8s instead of 2.8s. I've had sledge belted tires, the steel axles, and 20/50 gearing on my Maxx for a few months now. works great. gets rid of chassis slap and looks like more of a mini xmaxx. although you will get come cogging at low speeds with the factory electronics and that set up. not a big deal unless it bothers you. i switched to a hobbywing max8 g2 combo and since it's a sensored motor and esc it's super smooth now though.
Keep pulling the string...
Guess I should have read the whole description lol
@@dstjamesrc6395 I'm actually surprised they suggest putting the big tires on like it's no big deal though. it needs some supporting mods to work right. if you don't put a better set of bellcranks on it the factory servo saver is so weak it won't turn the tires some times. lol. i would do the servo saver and steel axles at a minimum to run the sledge tires right. the Sledge tires are also 17mm hex rims so the steel axles are pretty much a must too.
Is this track at the Traxxas facility in McKinney TX?
Naw, that’s a famous BMX spot in Southern California.
Wish they weren't too expensive cause I would definitely buy 1.😩
Just work a little harder 👍
👍🏼
What cameras do you use mounted on the car?
That’s GoPro Hero
But you never see one in the clips@@IJumpRC
Can you make a new nitro
That would be awesome 👍
What tires, specifically?
Theyre the sledge size sledgehammers i think
Sledge tire....????
When T-maxx 4.6?
❤️❤️❤️❤️🇺🇸❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thats sheep hills!
🤫
Is it fully stock?
The tires are from the sledgehammer for the sledge and probably the better driveshafts to handle it.
@@IsaacSchultz-lz8jc Oh ok
Oh, and you guys better not drive it like they did in the video! What they never tell you is what they broke during filming
It’s your choice to drive how you want to but if you’re breaking stuff it’s a lot more likely you need to work on your driving…lol enjoy it how you want to, the parts are cheap and they’re easy to work on
They definitely didn't break it lol
These trucks can take a beating, I have the larger version, the Xmaxx, myself and it is nearly indestructible. I'm talking jumping it 20 feet into the air and having it land upside down or driving it off a 30 foot cliff. It tumbled and hit a tree and was totally fine, I've had it for a year and nothing has broke so far :D
@@I_EpicsStudios that’s awesome! I don’t really beat on mine so I don’t have to worry about that stuff anyway. Every time I’ve broken anything it was completely my fault
Homie, I have a pile of basher models and without question, the Maxx is a top contender for durability. I give this truck no mercy and it just takes it. Durability is the Maxx's biggest pro.
Only thing that failed was when we went off track into mud/water the tires came un-glued and had some issues. Probably wasn't good for the servo, was a little difficult steering... but did great in the jumps.
Hay is Czech traxxas driver, Tires pleas Traxxas Sladge?? Maxx is nice car❤ Pleas kom nt tires❤ 🙏🙏
Let me guess. Plastic geared servo and plastic driveshafts and plastic spur? All of which break before the very first battery dies?
If that’s happening to you you need to work on your driving…😉 stuff breaks it’s part of the hobby and the parts are cheap but you can’t blame it on the truck, the Maxx is a beast! 🚗 💨
Still running my original plastic spur since it launched, my most durable rc to date
@@jessejames2546 exactly and a plastic spur is like $4-5, that’s where you want your weak spot, I’d rather replace that than a diff or entire transmission. I’ve found most of the time myself or my friends break a spur it’s because the mesh is wrong to begin with
@@mikes062 hell yes, I put the WideMaxx kit on and steel axles, finally stripped the servo after what 3-4 years it’s been out? I’ve beat the living hell out of it
Not from my experience. The Maxx is one of the most durable trucks out there.
Traxxas read this please 👇
Would be a killer truck if it was about $100 less 🤷🏻♂️
I have to agree 👍
Unless you gear down on your pinion, I would NOT recommend larger wheels on the Maxx unless you want to hit 85 Celcius on an already junk ESC that's in the Maxx. Additionally, the diff are made out of Traxxas special cheap sintered shitty metal and they will break with bigger and heavier wheels. Not to mention the junk stock servo which has a hard time move even the stock wheels and struggles even more so with bigger and heavier wheels. You will need a few 3rd party aftermarket upgraded to be able to use decently sized wheels on the Maxx. Same old story with Traxxas. 😴
Probably $700
You might be thinking of the maxx slash that is about 700 but the maxx is about 540
👎
Just leave
