About damn time, when is Tom fricken Brady going to pony up?
Can he spare some $ to get a WR for a new QB to throw to? Open receivers would be cool to see.
WRs would be open more with better game plans and coaching. Have to attack the defense that’s given and figure it out presnap with motions.
Agreed. We don't just need a QB. We need horses for the race.
@@ifheavenwashuman Michigan recruited pretty good lots of 4 stars enrolled including some wrs that enrolled this year and next year
@@DFH13019XYou don’t know what you’re talking about. Michigan doesn’t have a real QB rn therefore we aren’t even using pass plays. How can you theorize the coaches don’t know pass plays when they simply haven’t showed us to the scheme we NEED to use rn.
Bring Bryce Underwood home
He's a tiger
Bryce has to prove himself first. We can risk a true freshman, but now the onus is on him to prove he is worthy of being a Wolverine. He had his chance, now it's put up numbers or shut-up time.
Lol. Michigan has not shown they can develop a QB, especially after Harbaugh left.
LSU has two heisman QBs and the #1 and #2 picks in their reapective drafts battle each other on a record breaking MNF game. Do you know LSU has a current QB that's projected as a first round pick? Also, LSU has already offered him and his family big money. That kid is all LSU.
@@ghostwalker89I understand your sentiment but Harbaugh IS the qb whisperer as far as Michigan is concerned in the modern era and all time. Harbaugh himself and JJ are our only 1st round QB’s EVER. Also as someone living near and having connections to his high school there’s a reason he didn’t choose the reigning champs our 7 on 7 U in Columbus.
@@ghostwalker89 Your beat writer was saying that michigan is still going hard after Bryce and he himself is actually worried because Brian Kelly is a super average coach making 10 mill a year
Everyone else is already doing it!!!! Nobody goes to Ole Miss, Oregon, Tennessee, Miami if not for money. Miami has not beaten a top 10 team since 2017.
Love Portnoy. He's a die hard Michigan fan like all of us Wolverines fans. He's a straight up dude. If he says something he means it. Portnoy is taking matters into his own hands, unlike Ward Manuel and the entire admin at UM. It's sad that UM generates hundreds of millions and yet, can't get their NIL shit together. And their defending national champions!
Maybe that’s why you cheated?
Michigan has 3 very good QB recruits the next 3 years. I do love this offer by Portnoy though.
Let the best man win the job. I don’t care if they have Joe Montana Tom Brady and pat mahomes coming in. Let them compete best man starts. You can’t lose doing that
My guess we'll lose a couple QBs when the portal opens, Warren and Denegal.
@@jamietwigg5152Warren dengal orji
@@PerelliVision Orji will be here till the end of the season, we'll still need one out of the portal this winter, and possibly another next spring portal.
All that depends what the NCAA does with the portal, I read they were gonna eliminate 1 of them.
@@jamietwigg5152 they need at least 2 qbs in this next class
Portnoy is a soldier of God for this I swear
No he is not!

Arch Manning, BABY!!! Go Blue 😂
Put down the pipe bro.
He ain't never entering the portal
@@doubleboy2388Ain't never? So that means he is!
That would cost more than 3 mil a year😂
@@MasonShinrock you Northern loons obviously don't pay attention to the facts down here in the south. But keep looking uninformed it's a good read,👌
What’s up with the juice box helmet? It’s pretty sick
it actually is pretty sick. how do we get one?
Does the helmet have a cold?
Sick does not mean cool.
@@UtahZSSyeah your right it’s fire🔥
I bet they get Jackson Arnold after this season
Hell yeah 🎉
😂😂😂
He a mississippi state bulldog if he dont start by texas
Love this. Texas two #1 overall recruit, #1 QB prospects( Arch and Quinn) are worth $5.3 million combined. We could realistically get two top ten QBs for $3 million. Or, we could keep an inside track on the best portal QB AND best QB from the high school pool.
These Power 5 universities make so much money when there football team is relevant. The University of Michigan should go out and spend 5 million to get a top QB. Enrollment goes up, sponsorships $ goes up, everything goes up when you have a relevant football team. At the end of the day, $5 million is only 100 out of state students. I think we can all agree that if Michigan was making it to the Playoffs every year that it would influence 100 students to want to come to the University of Michigan.
He’s valued at much much much more than $100 million. He made a $500 million dollar deal last year alone and is sole owner of the company
I think there should be a cap
It is about time!!!
I am here for this!!
Bring Arch to Michigan!
Byrce underwood staying home lol
Better be.
@@5STARGAV🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤡
Talent fee on your tickets is different than one guy dropping a couple million. The fans now have an opportunity to pay the players we love to watch every weekend who bring us so much joy and they work there butts off I’ll be more then happy to pay 10% talent fee when I know it’s going to the kids on the field
That’s sad when Michigan needs a guy like him to get them a QB your telling me Michigan can’t do that all on their own? Maybe QB do not want to go play for the Wolverines
We will have Jadyn Davis for a few years then Carter smith and Brady hart. I appreciate it Dave but we shouldn’t need portal qbs for the foreseeable future
Will this top 10 qb suddenly make our wide receivers open ? Or our offensive line suddenly better at pass protection?
If we have a good quarterback then the WR talent will want to follow
Our o-line has been solid. This is the first time all of them are starting together, so it will take time to mesh together.
NIL is going to destroy college football. We are going to have a bunch of 18-22 year old kids all chasing money and nothing else. And I don’t fault the kids, because I would have played any sport at any school when I was 18 for 750k a year!
This is why I am against the transfer portal. Sure, everyone should get 1 free transfer as sometimes you commit to something like a job and it doesn't always workout. This transfer portal with guys transferring 3-4 times is just plain ridiculous.
I wonder how long before college football will function like the NFL with each team having owners, payrolls, contracts and structured free agency. How cool would it be for someone to own Michigan football or Michigan basketball. I think athletic departments could sell parts to significant individuals. An example would be Tom Brady and Portnoy owning Michigan football and running it within some guidelines and it functions like a profit and loss business. That would really change athletics.
The thing with Dave is the kid would actually be on Barstool. All these other collectives just toss cash. This kid would actually be out in the public and “earning” the money on Barstool platforms.
I'm still against Michigan having NIL bought players. I'd rather have a good team based on hard work and integrity then have a great team based on bought players.
Michigan fan here, think that this is the type of stuff that is worrisome about NIL. that it becomes a big lobbying mechanism. Think that people need to start thinking about the direction that this type of stuff could lead our sport into
It will never happen, besides, Michigan needs help now, they’ve had 3 decommits recently and Olesh and Marsh are getting money fired at them everyday, teams are picking at their bones right now
3 recently? You're making that number up. List them.
Dude needs to stick to pissing people’s algorithms off with floppy pizza that he owns a stake in. Dude is less than…
I'm a Michigan Fan... This all sounds crazy. NIL = Now It's Limitless.
Welcome to a free market
I'm old school........ Student Athlete
Finally. Lets go. Ask for donations, the M fan base is good for another 3
College football is now minor league football. Pay to play.
As a Michigan fan, I love this!! Go Prez.
My team is going to benefit from this, but I don't like it.
Is that NCAA punishment still looming?
QB hussle. Man just make it the CNFL.
Not just the qb, need wideouts too
I'll chip in $20 bucks
College football is cooked
That dude is such a tool.
Hopefully Warde Manuel doesn't block these transactions
He can't, collectives aren't really the school even though they work closely together.
It's still illegal for schools to pay players
Thanks JD
Lol
Shadeur waayyyyy overpaid
His dad is Deion 🤷🏾♂️
Top 3 Pick over paid😂😂😂😂😂😂one of the most accurate QBs even while running for his life!
WTF 😒
This isn't College Football........
This has always been college football. It's just now in the open
This will last as long as the guy produces. The second he doesn't produce to Portnoy's standard he'll stop cutting those checks.
Using the ad profits from just one of Portnoy’s shows over a year would pay for the NiL deal alone
Maybe we get the Jerseys to look like NASCAR Jackets!!!
Go Blue!
Poverty desperate program and fanbase
Just beat USC and cope the natty.
HAHAHA, I clicked your profile and saw your previous comments. Michigan lives so rent free in your head. Grow up.
Don’t do that to Michigan.
Let's Go Blue!!
how about groom and recruit one from high school and do it the old fashioned way.. when you buy someone that sets a low bar already
That’s what’s up
Sounds good 👍
The problem with being a QB at Michigan is they are a run heavy team, youll never be able to showcase all your skills
Well you don't need to.. J.J. didn't do it and we were fine.. and yeah QB's may not want to go to a school that won't show off their skills as much but they might if they're getting 3 million to do it
Jj went first round, but I agree for wr position.
that was when Harbaugh was there, you are not getting a top 10 qb with that offense…
Yeah good luck with that Dave.
He doesn't need good luck, he's just going to do it.
@mgoboski 😂
Money talks. You offer a kid $2M to play for UM, there’s a 99.9% chance he’s playing for UM.
"Luck" aint got a damned thing to do with it. He's got the money, and he can drop a bag! 💰. Some kid's gonna take that. The problem I can see here, perhaps, is this guy seems like an egomaniac. He might want to start meddling in coaches decision-making on when and how to use said quarterback. That could be a potential problem.
Weird they offered underwood that and he said hell no!
You’re gonna pay DJ Lagway 3 million and you’re gonna like it.
Eh they'll waste whatever talent they get
This is why i would never watch barstool.
Go Blue!!
is the 3 mill worth it to play at michigan if yk they aren’t going to truly showcase the type of player you are which could hurt your draft stock is a 2 or 3 mil upfront worth that ? wouldn’t you rather go to a school that can showcase who you are (ex. Texas, Ol miss or Oregon) and get maybe 1.5 mil ? idk just my thoughts
Michigan just had a QB go in the top 10 wtf are you talking about? 😂 Scouts look for more things than “is this guy throwing 50+ times a game”.
Didn't seem to hurt JJs draft stock...
@@jackpackage4278 you’re right but they had to win a natty to get a QB in the top 10. who was the last qb drafted in the draft in the top 10? and yes they don’t look for who throws the ball 50+ times as a coach you have to know what your QB does best and put him in position to impact the game and do you really think michigan rn is in the top 20 as far as QB coaching and development right now ?? but that’s just my opinion you’re allowed to have yours
@@joetouchedmykid it’s pretty easy to say Michigan isnt a good school for developing QBs when they have literally no good QBs (except their freshman who is redshirting) but yes they’re are a top 5 developmental program overall. JJ was the only high profile recruit Michigan had had since Harbaugh got there and they turned him into a top 10 guy. Just because someone is 5 stars coming in doesn’t mean you don’t have to develop them. Not to mention Michigan doesn’t usually have the kind of weapons schools like USC does which to me makes JJ even more impressive.
@@jackpackage4278 okay if you are a qb which would you choose team a that has a coach who has made many big recruits into big draft prospects and get paid 1.5 mil or 2 or team b a coach who coached under someone who got his only good qb recruit into a big draft prospects and get paid 3 mil
Better wait until after NCAA gets done . Your going to need a lot more

Just steal one. It’s the Michigan way
What's the Ohio State way? Crying like a baby, making excuses and putting shoe polish in your beard?
Cry more. Your roster was made through tampering which is against the rules. What do you think has more impact, stolen signs by way of improper in person scouting or adding 5 star talent to your roster?
@@reconsoldier135 Don't forget that everyone is stealing signs all the time. Various coaches have admitted that the sharing of signs throughout the season with their friends happens all over the Big Ten and SEC, which is worse than getting iPhone footage from your mom. OSU fans just can't take being dominated(even AFTER Stalions is gone) so they cling to whatever excuse they can. Like in 2021, it wasn't Aidain Hutchinson throwing OSU linemen around like rag dolls, it was the snow.

There is literally no evidence that suggests any of that is happening lol
We already have a great freshman, Jaydn Davis, and another 4 star soon to be a five-star Brady Hart still to come. I don't want us to lose them, so he better keep them paid, too. Throw some money at Andrew Babalola while you're at it damn it, man! We need him bad for next year.
Don’t forget about Carter Smith.
We were saying this same stuff about Orji and Denegal. Michigan can't develop qbs or Wr. Jj was him, didn't need much help.
Everybody you named is unproven, despite however many stars they have next to their name. If this Pourtnoy guy can basically go buy someone like Niko away from Tennessee, a proven commodity and future top 5 pick, you go do it. Don't worry about unproven guys transferring. That's the new landscape in college football now.
Yep but i want Brady hart good lord he good @MichaelBrown-ti1un
