I am a Christian and I am very open about my beliefs. But I am CLOSE friends who are not believers and I find it slightly offensive to say that your best friends can’t be non believers. Jesus had a heart for EVERYONE and saw the good in people that others would turn away. My best friend in the entire world is not Christian. He is totally fine with me speaking about my faith and even enjoys having conversations with me about it. I have never felt like I can’t be myself. Of course it is important to surround yourself with believers, but my best friend is someone who has always held me accountable and reminded me of my beliefs when I am struggling. Just because you don’t have that experience, doesn’t mean you should make a blanket statement and state that “non believers should not be your best friends”. Think of the parable of the Good Samaritan. A perfect example of goodness from someone who was not a believer.

I have been watching your videos for a long time now and I really love how you preach about God. I do have to say though, I am a little upset by your comment in this video about being friends with non-Christians. I understand why you would say this and believe it, but I personally have never had any issues with being close friends with non-believers. One of my closest friends at college is a non-believer. She understands that I believe in the Lord and I understand that she doesn't. In my personal opinion, if you are strong enough in your faith, than what your friends believe should not influence what you believe. There have been multiple occasions in which I have talked to my friends (non-believers) and taught them about Christ, in turn, they have listened and some have even chosen to attend a service or two with me. I feel like by saying we as a community shouldn't be close friends with non-believers is what gives Christians a bad reputation. Now I know I will most likely get negative feedback on this and I completely understand why, seeing as people would want to defend you. I do not mean this in a negative way at all, I am simply stating my opinion. I hope you have a wonderful week and good luck with your finals. I know my first semester of finals was tough. Luckily though, this semester I only have two final exams, one final interview, and two final essays.
Here’s the thing though, if you’re only close friends are believers it’s really easy to lose your faith. Like I’m seriously so jealous of that- I often lean on the people around me and if they do something and respond a certain way I do too. So I can’t be CLOSEST with non believers because I need the Christian support! And it’s not a faith issue it’s just a personality thing. But for real it’s amazing that you have a close community of people around you that aren’t believers! Such a gift for you and them!!!
Same I am religious but I’m not Christian, and my faith is with me and other people’s faith (or choice to not believe) is with them. I don’t leave people out of my life because they are different than me. I actually think it’s a great learning opportunity for me and the other person. But when it comes to my religion, I don’t think I would trade it for anything. So one person is definitely not going to change that.

There was this one lady at church who wouldn’t even shake my family’s hand because me and my brothers are mixed. I’m so happy to see that there is at least one person who believes that God loves everyone no matter the color. Not only that but you inspire me to go share the good news with others❤️

i know how you feel my great aunt got a stroke in august and it was so scary for our family and she has her memory of everything except her speech she cant talk and its really sad but she is improving. I pray for your grandpa and hope he gets better. :)
