How to replace halogen P21 daytime running lights in VW Passat B7 ?
Here we replace the classic (halogen) bulbs P21W with LEDs from 'Osram SL P21/5W' !
Unfortunately, Osram does not have those compatible with the VW control system therefore they will be reported on the display (canbus error). There is no easy way to remove this error unless you add some resistance to increase the consumption so the control unit will not detect a power outage and see it as an error. If you rae lucky enough you can get some LEDs which are 'canbus error free', I havent found any, at least not good ones. The Chinese products are not an option for me.
But this err will come and go away so if you are not disturbed by it, the car will run perfectly normal.
If you are in Europe the bulbs (pack of 2) is up to 20 Euros.

Die Lampen sind echt spitze ! Habe diese auch in meinem Polo 6r 2010 verbaut , keine Fehlermeldung
Glaube für 20e bekommt man keine bessere, sind sehr dauerhaft
Ich denke, schnelle ist die Beleuchtung nur von unten wechseln. Brauchst du nur Bodenschutz demontieren.

Bei meinem Passat B7 sind 4 x G8, nicht P21. Es gibt in Internet schon LED D3S für Scheinwerfer. Es geht alles genauso plug ans play. Braucht man kein xenon mehr! Ich empfehle es.
D3S hatte ich schon, hab so das auto verkauft, LED ist sehr stark. steckbirne g8 habe ich noch nicht bei tageslicht gesehen
Die hab ich auch und die sind gut, nur halt die Fehlermeldeng 🙄.
Ich hab mir auch die Widerstände bestellt aber werde sie doch nicht montieren
It's legal to do something like that? I believe you need to have a led mark on headlights to change from halogen bulbs to led.
what do you mean legal and where are the headlights ? this is purely daily signal light. for the main lights and led you need a licensed light bulb (e.g. with certificate), but even without it, many people use them normally. with this one no problems at TÜV

Ako je sijalica bez otpornika onda ga moraš posebno kupiti i spojiti na kabal u seriju s sijalicom, znači moraš grlo izvaditi i crveni kabal izrezati i dodati otpornik pa ili zalemiti ili klemati
Darf ich fragen wie du das Problem mit dem fehler am Tacho gelöst hast ?
Eigentlich hab ich nicht, kam sporadisch ab und zu, aber macht mir nichts, so wurde verkauft und gabs keine Probleme. Die Lösung ist Wiederstand mit der Birne zu verbinden (gibt bei eBay 2e /Stuck) , also man muss Anschluss Kabel rausnehmen und in der Leitung in Reihe anlöten
Toll und eine Fehlermeldung jedes mal wegklicken und der Tüv wird auch nicht begeistert sein.
glaube es ist klar und deutlich, dass keine Fehlermeldung behoben wurde oder kein zusätzlicher Widerstand hinzugefügt wurde. man kann das machen aber Watt-Verbrauch bleibt unverändert. Für meine Zwecke hat sich gelohnt
Hat jemand den LED Tagfahrlicht Xenon Canbus P21W BA15S 2 probiert wegen der Fehlermeldung? Findet man bei Ebay.
Glaube muss passen da es um P21W handelt. Aber Fehlemeldung wird sich zeigen wenn die nicht 21 Watt sind, da die nehmen mehr oder weniger Strom, nämlich der Sensor erkennt das Unterschied.

I haven't, I don't mind it. But to remove it you have to add the resistor to the cable where the bulb is connected. You have to cut the wire and install it. Or you can buy additional socket with inside resistance and then plug it with the bulb together
