Tanner, there is literally a thousand videos and instructions out there but you are my absolute favorite. I love your enthusiasm, your cerebral breakdowns of a point and you just make a ton of sense! I am a 4.5 player desperately trying to get to a 5.0 level and your videos are being a super help! Thanks and congratulations. Go get the gold next time.
There are many instructors and coaches available to learn from. I applaud your openness and chance to see your ability and talent in action. I like your suggestion to “get out of your own way” and be ready to counter-attack rather than attack the ball.
Rich is the Head Pro at my club... The Pickle Jar in Hillsborough, NJ. We talked about this match, but now I have a video to discuss with him. Congratulations to both you and Rich. This is a well-deserved win!
It's one thing to know how to hit specific types of shots, but it's another to understand when and why to hit specific types of shots. If you don't hit the right shots at the right times, it doesn't matter how good your technique is. That's why this video taught me so much. It's great to see inside the mind of such a good player. And you're so down to earth without any ego or attitude which makes you easy to relate to. You're just like me, only a lot better. Maybe one day I'll get closer to playing like you. Thanks so much for all the time you spend doing these videos for us, Tanner. I appreciate them a lot.
You know your stuff Tanner. You are pure , sincere and humble. In addition, your are funny too. I love how you communicate. So so fun. Looking forward to many, many more. Tom from Arizona.
Sometimes you just jive with someone. I love Tanner’s strategic way of thinking. His tendency to break down the superficial into its non-obvious components i find unique in the pickleball video world. I’m a lawyer and though it may seem strange to judge tanner based in pb instruction, i think tanner could have been a very good lawyer and will likely be a highly successful business person. Why? He’s a highly analytical person who clearly is a doer. Thanks for all the good instruction! Kudos to you Tanner.
Wow, thank you so much for this, Enemies!! I love business, and have done different business things my whole life! I am excited to see how far I can go. Thanks for this comment, fantastic analysis!!
Excellent break down. I applaud you for realizing your mistakes. Your excited energy for this video makes me feel that it’s an actual live game and I didn’t know the outcome. Congratulations on the win. Keep going young fella. I wish to see you as a tournament champion!! Thanks for all your tips.
🥉Tanner, I have really learned from you and watch all your video. I am so happy for you and your partner! You played a couple of singles studs and prevailed. You seem surprised, I watch all the pros and you belong! Terrific!❤
Congrats on the medal! Thanks for sharing your journey with us. We all benefit and learn from your posts. You are an asset to the pickleball community!
Really excellent video analysis here bro! 👌Thank you for this! And Congratulations again! Keep going Tanner! We're in your corner all the way brother!!
Amazing game - Congratulations on your win and incredible play. Thank you for sharing and commentating, it's so helpful to understand your in-game thought process.
Congrats on the 🥉! Appreciate your thought process and kindness to both your partner, opponents, and yourself. Looking forward to your continued journey through professional pickleball!
Good stuff Tanner! Nice work. You're right on about it being hard which makes winning all the better. Most great things in life don't come easy, including pickleball come to find out!
So excited for your win, Tanner. I love your enthusiasm!😄🥉. I won gold in a local senior games tournament. My first tournament and it was a blast!🥇🎇. The feeling is so wonderful
@ I was going to go if I had a mixed partner, my sister said she never wanted to play nationals again, with the high cost & no mixed decided not to go. Then I got a mixed partner but Ed Ju asked me to play Worlds so I signed up for Worlds with Ed, then Ed dropped out, haha so many many things 🤣
Congrats on taking 3rd place in the tournament! Your hard work and dedication really showed on the court. Keep up the great work-this is just the beginning!
Congratulations to you and Rich for winning the bronze medal 🥉. It was a very well-deserved win!! I enjoy watching your short video clips and a great breakdown of the strategy. Thanks for sharing your passion with your fans. Keep up the great work!
Wow Tanner!! Congrats on the win. I have been following you for a long time. I practice your advice in my game. So glad to see it used at the highest level.
🥉🥉🥉 Congrats on your first pro tournament! I've learned so much from your channel!!! I'm taking your tips to MY first really big tournament next weekend!🙏🏼🙏🏼 Here’s an idea - when you wrap up your next big video, please put all three tips on one page so we can screen shot your tips to take to the court!!!
Love this video analysis - it's short but packed with key points that everyone can learn from. I had to watch it a couple of times and rewind to fully grasp everything. I'm not sure if the winning prize will cover all the expenses, but in this case, the win itself,🥉, is probably the best holiday gift for 2024
Great job, Tanner! Congratulations! Remember, when things get intense, don't focus on the moment, but instead focus on making each shot the best it can be (keep making the "right" play).
Tanner, my hands sweat like crazy while watching the highlights of your game. Congratulations! This is just the beginning of your great pickleball career. Please tell me you have the link to the full game-I would love to watch it!
wow... I had never heard that "the nick the net + shallow dink = probable lob" sequence explained before. It's something that happens a lot at 4.5 play but I had never known to analyze it that way... that is such a good insight.
🥉Great work on the video. Really like the breakdowns and advice. I've been there with the meltdowns and errors upon errors. Not happy it happened to you but appreciate you were able to walk us through it and be honest with yourself and us as to what was going on.
🥉Congratulations! I get those self-sabotage yips at the start of tournaments, too. Going to read play sports psychologist on myself and read "It's All in Your Head" before making a run at 4.0 singles and doubles at this weekend's Winter Fest.
You came out of the gate on fire and Richard had your back when you tightened up a little in the end. You guys played great though. Your counters are awesome. You hardly move an inch and your paddle tracking is so good. Awesome to see your progression. That tip you got about speeding up on drops when your opponents are back was money. Congrats again! Your best days are ahead!
@@tanner.pickleball I don't know how you find the time to do it ALL, but it's pretty inspiring to see your progress and success. Great match and commentary. also got my first metal in a tournement last month. Silver in doubles and bronze in singles. too long a story to go into, but you put a smile on my face. keep going.
i learn a lot from your comments. . . this year i went from constant medaling in 4.0 tournaments to 4.5 + tournaments... so i need all the help I can to get back on the medal stand at a higher level. Thanks Tanner!
@@tanner.pickleball I was able to put into play today your advice to always take 3rd shot, 5th shot drops and speed those up! We were playing a better team and I normally would concede the kitchen as I'm afraid to pop up. But by speeding up, I was able to keep them back, hitting behind them caused them confusion. And if they attempted to advance and take my shot out of the air, I was amazed to see how many they hit into the net. We lost 14-15, but it's the most fun I've had in a long time.
Hi Tanner. Firstly, thank you for taking the time to respond to comments and help people out. You are truly amazing. I was curious, I use your older paddle, the Crbn 1x, with your lead setup, and I honestly love it and how consistent it is; I'm around the 4.0-4.5 level. Would you recommend the new trufoam for my skill division, or is it too poppy for my skill level? Does it break in like crazy? Thank you.
Hey thanks Erre! I love that paddle so much!! This new Trufoam that is coming out is newer technology. It plays very similar on the control aspect, but hits significantly harder. At your level, it may not be necessary because prioritizing consistency is important. At my level, I notice and feel behind in the rally when others can hit the ball harder than me simply due to their paddle. If I were you, I would try it out, it is an upgrade for sure.
