We actually went there when we were visiting Transylvania. These people had been promised to receive those soviet style flats which you can see all over Eastern Europe. Yeah, didn't happen. With the mining the toxic stuff is being pumped there and there will be more of of the waste as they mine, skinning the Earth of its resources and using it to our advantage, the products we create out of that (what they mined) probably wont be recycled, and we come back to polluting our home, Earth.
@@HeyaGlizzy again, the people in charge of polluting the area are just relocating the nastiness. The stuff was up on the hillside, under the dirt, now it's at the bottom of the valley, in water. Granted, its nasty and horrible for our health but it's not MAKING poisons, it's just rearranging them. The products made from the mined minerals are used and then either recycled or thrown away-again, relocating it. Plastic and styrofoam are still just petroleum distillates removed from one area and put in another.
We arent "killing the Earth". The planet will still be here after we are long gone. All we are doing is killing ourselves. We are making the environment unsuitable for our life forms, not destroying the gigantic rock of earth. It's more accurate to say the environment is being changed to be unviable for human kind.

I haven't done much research on that, but from what I know about cyanide, the most probable smell there could be is almonds.
with the cemetery if you google “geamana cemetery” you can see what the area looked like when it was only a bit flooded, and the destroyed building is actually a giant church that you can see still standing in the pictures. and in the video, all that grayish blue twisted up stuff spread around is the remnants of the steeple.
thats crazy, the church was even on top of a hill so the water and sludge is very very deep.

Okay This is both really dope and really sad at the same time! Really cool scenery but the circumstances are really sad. Imagine not being able to properly visit your loved ones resting place because it’s now under water.
5 minutes into a google search would tell you that you aren't the first one that's been there. There was an article from 2017 that explained, that is their village's graveyard and the government promised them it would be relocated but like many other things promised, never happened. It is still an active graveyard.
That's sad.

The water was bluish green because of the copper. When I first saw Copperhill, Tennessee, all standing water was that color. All the vegetation in that area had died because of it. It’s all cleaned up now, and you would never guess that it ever looked the way it did. Hopefully, someday that area can be cleaned up as well.
The lake isn't blue. That looks like copper orr. A blueish green.

Basically they turned the entire town to a giant toxic slurry pond. Slurry ponds are made to hold unsafe, in this case toxic, waste from mining facilities. They are quite common and probably required for mines in most countries, but this is outrageously huge even for a mine as big as they have.

We had too much snow during winter and too hot too fast in the spring caused major wash outs and floods it destroyed roads and highways. Washed away people's homes. They got most of it repaired before winter but I feel it's going to be worse this year. We had a ton of snow and no melt days. If it gets warm too fast we are screwed!!!
That reddish sludge is from pyrite. Which reacts with oxygenized water creating an acidic byproduct. They could add an active remediation site with limestone. The limestone would react with the sludge neutralizing it.

I just went on google and had a look before and after and it’s astonishing to look at. You think that the church is all on the same level and the water isn’t that deep but in reality the village sits below the church and the water has to be VERY deep to cover all those houses. That’s crazy!

There's been a lot of videos and picture from this place for years now. The person you met is a member of the (Prata) family which is the same name as on one of the gravestone your looked at. The red and blue water is made by fresh rain water running through the minerals. And the slurry lake continues to rise about 1 vertical meter every year. And the graveyard lake with the blue water was over flooded only a few years ago.

when my family had to go to a funeral to bury a loved one , the people who arranged everything placed a green carpet type thingy so they can place chairs on it. There was also wood or something like it underneath to keep it stable. *And* since it was a hot day , those tents that provide you shade , they had one of those as well. Our family members were surrounded all around and yeah that should be enough information. But this whole time..we were standing and some people even resting on chairs , we were all on random peoples grave stones. ;-;

I really understand what your saying but the people in the graves don't care, I spend much of my time in a grave yard and I use to avoid walking on them to but through the years it's almost impossible that's when I started think about it and came to the conclusion these people are in a way better place and they don't care, I've walked on my grandparents graves even my mothers and knowing my mother the way I do my mother is just so thrilled anyone even takes the time to go see her but then again some people probably think I'm disrespectful for decorating her grave the way i do for Halloween but i knew what she liked and i know shes laughing in heaven, you have to remember in heaven people aren't so judgmental, it's not like the living world where people are so uptight about everything, and there graves are so deep that their not feeling it and in your modern graves like my moms their in vaults, so your going to have to dig real deep before you walk on them.

It’s simply impossible to not walk on someone’s grave. They are EVERYWHERE and you don’t know exactly which way one is. People do sit down to pray or to mourn. Also, it’s not like they care. If they could still see us, they wouldn’t get angry and stuff. They would probably be happy at the fact that we are visiting and respecting our families

This was my home town but I don't know where I was living at that time born 1991 with a twin sister same age as me and we got adopted and moved to USA with our new family and live, sad to see this go to waste
