Yes, the town has changed a lot in the last 10 years. The video was filmed on Sunday, after heavy rain, this is why it looks quiet and tidy. Altea is nice, more authentic and relaxed. Denia is bigger, with more locals and a ferry to Balearic islands. Not as charming as Altea. Anyway, it all depends on your location, sometimes even 100 meters makes a big difference.

Calpe used to be nice, but not anymore. Higher crime, many high rise buildings, etc. In my opinion poor value for money they ask in this town.

It seems nice but so quiet. Plenty of restaurants but is there any nightlife?
No, there is no nightlife in Calpe. Just a few very small venues open in summer.
