Bin it set on it few months then sell it. Wont be looking for it after harvesr a few months. Makes flower any ways they just looking to cheapen up their costs get for discount. Typical flour mill ploy.
Some breast is made from sprouted wheat. Is this wheat different from that? Love watching. Amazing all the parts and expenses involved in harvesting. Thanks from all your good work. Farmers feed the world.
Not sayin nothing, but I've lost count on the number of 'light' wins Shana has... Just sayin. On behalf of all moms, thank you Shana ❤️ I feel so bad for farmer M & M with the sprouted wheat. Most farmers are wonderful people and M & M is no different ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for the video Hayden!
Usually when any hydraulic fitting gets loose it gets that way because the o ring needs to be replaced or blown already, they are cheap item and best to replace
If ir aint to bad it will still be good fir flour. Set on it in the bin wait a few months then sell. Mills are just using that for excuse to buy it cheaper
Not asking specifics but do you charge by the acre for the custom harvest? Been wondering how all this works. Does the owner of the ground do the planting then in most cases? Love the content! Thanks for posting!
Most places we charge by the acre and by the bushel. If it makes more it burns more fuel and wears out the machine faster so we have to charge more to cope with that. But there is a set minimum where if it drops below a certain bushel then it’s a flat rate. Custom harvesting is a super competitive business so people normally don’t go around saying prices. Yes the farmer plants and does all the spraying himself we just show up and cut his/her crop.

Hayden, Great videos I really enjoy. QUESTION! When unloading grain OTR (on the run), do you have MACHINE SYNC on the header with the grain Tractor/Bin? John from Australia.
we had a terrible year last year, pretty much all our winter wheat sprouted. but we cut it anyways and sold as feed. why would they burn it? does the elevator not trade in feed crops at all in US?
@Hermiwalle it actually depends on insurance. If they let him off of it completely he has to destroy it. The easiest way would be to burn it because it would have been 60-ish bushel & there’s a lot of straw. It also helps with volunteer. He actually hasn’t burned it yet- it’s just what is anticipated right now until we get the official word.
In North Dakota the elevators play games on sprouted wheat. If its dry just put it in a bin . When market is high on wheat its goes right thru. With a little discount. Its the games they play.
I really like seeing your dog with you. Y’all are good people
You are a good person, your parents should be proud of you 👍💰🇳🇿
The genius is the guy in the red shirt! He is a sharp cat! Thanks for all the videos.
Looks like cutting terrace hasn't changed
Safety orange nail polish? Great to hear that MM found a buyer for seed. Farming isn't exactly a stress-free life.
Hi love video I always enjoy watching it 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
sprouted wheat makes good cattle feed
Just eat it as cereal you will be good 😂

Where is mom’s combine? I must’ve missed it if she is cutting in another field. Gotta love them terraces.....YUK!
Happy they found something to do with it!
Tess has always been the queen of naps lol
Surely that wheat can be sold for feed. It should be perfectly fine for animal feed. Just dock some for tbe sprouted grain and that’s it.
Like I said. Feed. You said what I said. lol

Boy, I never knew anyone that enjoys winning as much as your mom. Even when she ain't in the same place. Lol
She for sure is competitive 😂
That field looks like a lot of fun
Gotta love terraces 😂
@@HaydenOnHarvest those are even worse on top of the mud. Luckily our field don’t have those.
Great video. thank you guys

so what would the farmer do if there was no buyer for sprouts?? if you plow it under won't it just grow into voluntary wheat ?
Yes, people around us are plowing around it and catching it on fire
@@HaydenOnHarvest that's kind of heart breaking, I couldn't imagine being the farmer 😥
Can someone expand if the sprouted wheat? Is it simply due to being harvested too late??
I think Thunder Creek need to sponsor you
Say it louder for the people in the back 😳

Why did it sprout?
There has been feet of rain on this wheat
Rather than burning a crop that has sprouted could it not be harvested as cattle feed or used to manufacture bio fuel ?
Depends if anyone will take it in a reasonable distance. Sprouted wheat has a significant impact on the price so the profit margin falls.
Quit eating table salt or putting it on your food and you will notice a 50% reduction in mosquito bites
We don’t need that kind of negativity around here 😂
@HarvestChic I don't use it and I haven't been bitten in years
Please advise Harvest Chic that she needs content.
