I've been watching Pepi a little more closely lately. The three goals he scored in his last club game actually showcased some serious skill on the ball, and serious skill in putting the strike where the keeper is least likely to get a block. That's what you want in a 9. He's not going to throw a Kruyff at you, and he's not going to show you a Zidane spin, and he has lots of room to improve his hold up play, but he has skills every 9 needs. I've not seen that level of play from Balogun or Sargent no matter their other skills. We just need to get everyone in camp and let Pochettino do what he does best in developing talent.
What I keep hearing is that Pepi scores more goals but Balogun is a better player. What? I'll take effective - the guy who puts the ball in the back of the net - over talent/potential every single game. I've been on the Pepi train since he started with FC Dallas. From the start, you could see that there was something special about the guy.
You shouldn’t be starting for Liverpool, but you should be a locked in starter for your Sunday team. No one is saying that Pepi should start for Brazil or France, just for the USA. And maybe for PSV.
@@DremianBlades-cx5lj isolating USMNT time since 2023 Balogun has 9 G+A, Pepi has 10 Goals. Pepi is also playing at the level of the domestic league he's in, if not higher. also your comparison is just a false equivalency.
Ricardo Pepi to day is one of the top talent Player in the world is one of more diversity player smart I don see for long time player to improve and working hard and skills. Nothing wrong play whit two strike
Ok I get it, there are other #9's currently injured. That's fair. But why are we acting like those names are Lewa, Haaland, or Kane? Respect to Balogun, Wright, and Sargent. They're good. But they're not exactly world beaters. And if Pepi is doing the do RIGHT NOW, then you ride that wave, knowing you have some good talent coming back soon. My 2 cents.
He doesn’t have any flare and doesn’t seem like a natural athlete…something about the way he moves…but he puts the ball in the back of the net. Period. That’s all that matters. He is growing on me.
Who the F is Baloguin?? He's never done much at all for the Nats. Pepi is also a born and raised American. Yes, Mexican heritage but where the H was Balo raised? MLS Academy product out of FC DALLAS. Pepi is banging in goals and he is the #9 for the USMNT. This is the way.
No Pepi No Party.
I love his they’re giving Herc a hard time about “selfish” strikers, and he doesn’t take the bait. The host can’t help but laugh. 😅
That was awesome

Ricardo Peppi is balling right now all over the world and tryna take away those positions from USMT strikers by putting in work.
Pepi is our best striker. I have seen Balogun play well a few times and probably will do very well in the new system, but right now its Pepi

I have scored seven hat tricks in our Sunday league during the last ten games. Guess, that I'm ready to become a starter for Liverpool...🤷

@josepheads5589 Interesting that the level of competition of my league matters for me, but it seems to become irrelevant for others...🤷

How great is it that striker is an actual argument now. We’ve come a looong way. Lol
Pepi sees lots of opportunities on the field, maybe he can help us win a couple more games.

He’s a little awkward but somehow effective
Herc, if you really want to get your point across, yell every time you speak, just like the guy on the right.

PE PI PE PI PE PI
He needs to get out of that league anyway.
Yes, but to sit on the bench where?
Pepi will be gone in January or next Summer.
Yes but to sit on the bench where? He's already on the bench at psv, you think he's gonna start at a better team?
I say he has a 50/50 shot at replacing de Jong. Do they really want to sell a 21 y.o. golden boot winner? I think not.
