@ I end up returning the camera for one reason, I spend around $80 and my biggest problem is ones you move it it doesn’t cut in the area you mark it’s great if you don’t move the laser after focusing or maybe I did it wrong. I will get another camera at list a webcam cheaper to keep playing around
thank you so much ive been trying to figure out how to adjust alignment with no luck what so ever didnt realizs you could adjust the X,Y and save setting to align
Hi, thanks for this video, very good. So each time you change out your lens if you want to use the camera, you have to calibrate it again each time? I was hoping it would save a settings setup or something for each "Laser" listed. I have a laser profile for each of my lenses. I don't see a way to save them individually if you want to use the same camera for all...
you can save the settings and it will stick with the device, and each different lens is a new device, LightBurn will automatically switch settings. I always verify before relying on the camera just in case.
I thought the camera for lightburn had to be in a stationary position otherwise if you mount to the galvo head and make height adjustments , wouldn't that throw off all of your calibrations?
you calibrate it to the focal length of the lens, so you end up with a different alignment for each lens you use. if using the same lens, it would always be at the same height from the workpiece.
Thank you for the video. I have two questions. The resolution is not the most optimal for work - is it 4K? and what camera degree is preferable I see from the seller 66, 76, 120 and 125 degrees
Lightburn has a built in camera selector that will help you figure out the optimal field of view. i like the 8mp lightburn branded cameras. docs.lightburnsoftware.com/Camera/Selection.html
Hello. May I ask you, did you give a try also with ezcad3 software? Any tip or suggestions are useful. I have both ezcad2 and 3 in different fiber galvo laser, and really want to match a cc'd precision camera for positioning very small pieces. sometimes red laser pointer is very dangerous on polished steel
Can you save the settings for each lens and retain that accuracy? Example-If I did that for my 110 and swapped to another lens, and then swapped back to the 110 would I need to recalibrate?

Great video! Im about to get a sculpfun laser with a 935mm x 905mm expanded area. Can I also set up a camera for this area?
absolutely. use a wide angle fisheye lens equipped camera
very thorough, I'll be sure to use this soon! Thanks Patrick!
Great video and very thorough explanation. Thank you!!
Very welcome!
Good video, but I find a white background works better for the dot pattern.
i can't argue, i haven't used white. :) i haven't had issues with black, yet. one thing for sure, either one are better than the honeycomb! haha!

Great step by step
Raising and lowering it doesn’t throw things out of scale?
no, as it is calibrated to a set distance from the lens
How are you getting the tone with your lightburn when the cut is finished?
Device settings, enable sound when finished. Galvos only

@@LSEngraving Thanks
Thanks for the help very informative
welcome!
What’s the camera do for it? Just to preview while you burn?
Lining up items, tracing items.

no, i have not used ezcad in about 3 yrs

you would not as long as the camera stays in the same position, which it should with only a lens swap
@@LSEngraving ty
What happens when you go from a 110 to a 300mm lense? Do you have to recalibrate it?
yes, need a calibration for each lens
