- I had been waiting to go to Kashmir for more than two years but I was unsure about the plan because of unrest since 2016. Having waited enough, one day I just booked my ticket and landed in Kashmir. And it is strange that instead of being happy to be in ‘paradise on earth’, I felt sad. The whole vibe that I got from the place made me think that maybe Love is the only solution to all the problems in this world.

Although the video is beautiful, the narrative is incredibly biased.
Are you forgetting that around 1990 was the exodus of Kashmiri pandits? Where the current Kashmir's killed, raped pandits, drove them away and burnt their houses? Things deteriorating since the past "30-35 years" is exactly because of that. That is where it all started. You can't expect Indians to forget those atrocities. Even today,much of the problems could be solved by giving the kasmhiri Pandits their lands and lives back. The current "innocent" Kashmiris won't do that. They are content with stone pelting, blaming the army and Indian government and acting the victims.

I'm from South India from a state named Karnataka, I cried watching this video for how much privileged people here are and still complain. I really want to visit JnK. I was always wanted to go since childhood. I pray that those wonderful people of JnK get the basic rights and peace which they very much deserve. If there is anything I can do to as an individual to make things better in this beautiful region of JnK I will!

I visited Kashmir in 2013. It was like heaven on earth. Although I am not a Kashmiri my hrt aches to see Kashmir in pain. After watching this video tears rolled down my eyes.Kashmir is the most delicate creation of God. Why do Kashmiris don't want to prosper? I think education is they key and it will help in removing the hatred of religion. I love uu bro..was in 1st year in my engg got KASHMIR topic to give a speech...had no knowledge before..then i started i cried watching all the videos,reading answers on quora,reading different articles,reading wikipedia,i wanted to do something, really i felt very bad for people of kashmir...we on the other side live happily with no fear...I GAVE my speech(without any paper in my hand)...as all my classmates did that because we just wanted marks..but this was different i STARTED and we had time limit of 15 min only...but when i started i did not stop for 30 min..kept on saying what i wanted to say did not care who was there in class,without any fear....and when i ENDED got a standing ovation,mam was like this is what i wanted(i did not speak there for marks it was the hate i had for government)....i wanted to do something but then i saw the reality how worst is our country is.

To love and to be loved is the solution of life. I had been to Gurez valley where very few people come. Even I visited the last village of the valley. It was my solo trip and I really found paradise on earth. I love Kashmir and Kashmiris and I loved by them also. I hope one day all conflicts will come to an end.

Interesting narrative. What is so evident now in these 6 districts out of 22, is result of actions done by number of folks local to the landscape. This is demonstrative example of how programmable are human minds, to input of alienating religions or other forms of maniacal behavior. In past 30 years, Smarter societies/ethinic groups around the world have moved on further ahead in technology & knowldge, and will continue doing so. Kashmir can remain beautiful with its snow, stones, landscape and primitive & sky urges of self imposed alienation and centuries old practice of perpetrating violence on non Islamic folks.
If one is to compare Kashmiri achievements on socio-politico-economic indices to an ethnic group right next door, it makes one think. That is, Punjabis - butchered in hundreds of thousands in 1947 but without enormous yearly governmental dole to Kashmiris, these folks persevered and made their mark in all fields. Funny but true, loud mouthed and quick to abuse Punjabis have a literacy rate far higher than deep thinking Kashmiris. It’s not just lack of sustainable moral & economic vision and self created law & order problem; there is a lot more wrong with Kashmiris.
Else, Kashmiris would have been a example to follow for others.
They were once, but that was 2000 years ago.

I visited Kashmir when I was just around 5 y/o or younger if I remember correctly (now I'm 18). It's so beautiful and hopefully, I'll be able to visit there soon again. I think only the current govt. is capable of solving this issue completely. Indian govt. must take important steps soon. I want to see the blossoming and lovely Kashmir again. ❤🤞🏻

I am niladri paul frm kolkata. I was planning fr tour to kashmir for past few years bt nvr gt chance. On this i planned to kashmir with my mom-dad and booked tickets and hotels. Bt on 14 th feb terrorism strike at pulwama. Many of my friends and office staffs told me to nt go in this time bt i was determined that i wl nt backoff frm my plan. And on the march on 23rd i step in kashmir. I visit frm srinagar, gulmarg, sonemard to pahalgam and for single moment i nvr felt insecured in kashmir fr our jawans who protected kasmir frm terror and the second of all the kashmiri people r really nice and humble to us and helpful. They like our neighbours to our next door. Kashmir and kashmiri are truly nice... I wl visit kashmir once again...

Thank you for HUMANISING Kashmiris and giving then a face and a voice, the lack of which in the electronic media and otherwise has resulted in their alienation. I can just hope that one day Kashmiris will get to live a normal life though as a nation WE seem to be heading the opposite direction.
