Guys - I’m rapidly approaching 50 and I must say that there really is no wrong side of 30 :) ok, parts are starting to creak, my eyesight has fallen off a cliff but I’ve never been more confident and comfortable in my own skin. You guys haven’t even peaked yet :) and what a fantastic prospect that is. Massive love to you all x
After 6 months I am finally up to date. All the laughs and cries 173 episodes in 6 months. Happy Bday Trott. I can't wait for for more Aerois and am looking forward to Campaign 3
Happy to finally be catching up! It's so exciting to see Aerois entering its endgame. Level 1 to level 20 man. I never experienced that in a home game and I'm jubilant to live it vicariously through these awesome people. If y'all are still looking for suggestions of systems for side play, I would love a small Vampire the Masquerade scenario. Bristol by Night XD
I really wanted to see what Katie/Aila had planned when the children were too scared to do their thing - I suspect we were going to see the warm/vulnerable/caring side of Aila she almost never lets anyone see. Those are always my favorite moments.
My sister played the scary dragon in a Yule pantomime, but was too scary so Brave Jack forgot to bang her pot. We adults had to get the Dragon to be less fierce and remind Brave Jack of her most important job. I feel their pain.
lovely episode and very enjoyable arc so far! i'm looking forward to the WHF mini-campaign and to whatever may follow! I am sure Mark has already been submerged with suggestions for future games, and i will add mine to the list. I have 3 games that i recommend trying, given the groups tastes and tendency towards shenanigans. 1: Not the End (NtE). published by Fumble; it's a generic system, relatively simple and quick to learn but with an interesting depth. As a GM, i particularly appreciate how little preparation i need to run multiple sessions. 2: Knight of the Round: Academy (KotR:A), also by Fumble, it's basically a spin-off born from a particularly well liked scenario presented in the NtE core rulebook. It mixes anime school tropes with mecha fights and arthurian themes. lovely game, i particularly enjoy how you can turn anything, from a fight to a school test, into a super dramatic scene fully supported by the system. 3: Fabula Ultima, published by Need Games. It tries to translate to the table the themes and gameplay of well known JRPGs, especially Final Fantasy. while it does not come with a pre-made setting, it encourages the players & the gm to create their own and it provides some useful tools for the worldbuilding process. While it's the only one out of the three that i haven't played yet, i fully plan on doing so and i feel like the High Rollers will get a nice kick out of it. Cheers!
1:03:25 with all the movie and game references in this episode after hearing Cobs mumbling/“talking” I immediately thought of the father from cloudy with a chance of meatballs. Unfortunately i was a bit off except for the eyebrows 😂
I finally caught up! What a long and strange journey it has been. 😊I can finally start watching the streams.. 😊 I wonder how im gonna be productive at work without your podcast.. Start at EP1, maybe?
A belated, but still happy birthday, Trott, and welcome to the 30+ club 😂 And, as always, thanks to the High Rollers for another fun episode. Stay awesome and for the algorithm!
1:31:44 I mean, potentially it is more the case that chickens taste like whatever bugs they eat as that's also where they get those neutriants that are in their body. Granted someone who knows about Biology and/or Gastronomy might be able to prove that assumption completely wrong.
What episode did Quil interact with the conman? I want to go back and rewatch it, because I dont feel like I remember it being as obvious as everyone makes it out to be. In D&D I dont feel like you can just say "His name was obviously fake" but this is coming from a player who had to adventure with an NPC named "Slardy Bard Farst" and I was supposed to automatically understand later that the name "Ticklesneeze" was an obvious fake name.
I don't remember exactly what episode it was in, but it was memorable to the group cuz Zim Zam ZImbalore (or any ZZZ name) was an npc in one of their miniseries that was hilarious, so it was just a fun little thing that Quill got scammed by him.
If CR can get a series for both Vox Machina and Mighty Nein, HR can get one. Probably more comedy focused with moments of serious as opposed to the more balanced stuff we have seen but it would be a lot of fun.

There's the bit where you have to figure out what foods your digestive tract decides to turn into bio weapons so as to prepare and preempt, though.
"No! Oh God no! Take the children not us!" - Lucius Champion of Aerois
Every episode is great. Thanks highrollers! Aerois deserves a cartoon show. It would be great!
The cow episode 😂😂
1:33:05 Tom is acting like he wasn’t proposing to give the children a gun in the last episode 😂😂
The Stormchasers' guide to interacting with children: give them a blade
"My parents aren't lame!"
"Yeah well, you should just be happy you have any! GIVE ME THAT SWORD!"

This whole interaction lol
Heroes of Aerois: Fighting a god that eats everything, including other gods.

@@jaysjive no such thing as too excited for something as good as this.
Oooof Sentry/Rhi is getting me emotional out of nowhere. Just a beautiful memory to hotshot, because they never got to rejoin the matrix 🥺
Good fun, and great (relaxed) build up to what we know is going to be a great scrap.

I know they’re supposed to be giant living beasts. But ALL I can picture are the Divine Beasts from BOTW. 😅😂
Happy Birthday 🎂🎉🎂🎉🎂🎉 Chris 🎂🎉🎂🎉🎉🎉🎂
Don't get me started on nose hair. Just turned 59. Nose hair like 15 Amp fuse wire.
Nose hair trimmers burn out in weeks.
The coworker that said vegetables in a weird way...was it like Jabba the Hut? Because in my head it's like Jabba the Hut

Rethra is up there for best boy
I'm pretty sure watermelon is a fruit Marc 😂
Great episode!
I feel like every other episode it's someone's birthday. How do you guys do it? xD
Sonic underground had by by far the best theme, fight me
Edit: oh rhi mentioned it later

How would not showering for 3 days mask your scent?
I think it's basically you would smell like the earth around you and all the animals and stuff rather than soap and freshness
im sOrrY!!!??? Double axe nunchucks?????!!!
35:30 I think the dash hog could be a short.
So not a Gauss Rifle then?
Animate Aerois!

cool
45:51 BWOOWM
Nah the sonic underground theme tops the other sonic themes easily
Best Sonic theme discussion, and y'all had the audacity to not mention Sonic Boom from Sonic CD? Literally unwatchable episode.
Is Lucian a elf
It's lucious In elf or a bird
It was a good episode but enough world building, there’s a Titan to kill. 😊 More Storm Chaser please. 😊
Can we play dungeons and dragons please...
From the person who constantly has to throw in star trek quotes and comparisons at every opportunity 🤣
To be honest I liked tide hydra better
