I know the people who belong to his clan such as the Bhawas or even Kham people may regard him as “revolutionary” གསར་བརྗེས་་པ་ However, THIS IS SUBJECTIVE! He was a Tibetan communist who wanted to over throw the Tibetan Government. That is why he was expelled from Lhasa by the Tibetan Government! He worked for the CCP and he was both an advisor cum translator to the CCP during the May 23 1951 “Seventeen Point Treaty”. He worked against the interest of Tibet! However, he did have a notion of a Tibet which encompassed the three Cholkas. This is what present day དབུ་མའི་ལམ་ is all about! It was adopted from his idea. He wanted Tibet under CCP rule believing the rhetoric of Chinese communists which later disillusioned him. His life was spent on the illusion of communist utopia and misguided belief in the liberation! He achieved nothing but scorn from his CCP masters and made to pay a high price for his illusory ideals!!!
