I'm a 46s here, I can tell you that it is a fun MOS, possibly the funnest job in the Army. You get to experience all the MOS' with out dealing with their BS.
With in 3 months out of AIT i've managed to experience flying on helicopters, ceremonies, documenting combat engineers make traps, seen various land equipment such as vehicles and mine detectors and also interviewed soldiers on what they do; I've taken pictures of ruck marches through the sun roof of a moving jeep.. etc. Fun job and the best part is my unit is so cool that it's easy to balance a civilian life with my military one. I have the coolest side job in the world!

How easy or hard is AIT?

Were you able to get a job as a civilian doing the same thing?
I'm in the process of reenlisting. I'm prior service Marine Corps. Currently I weld for a living and allied trade specialist is my first job choice because I know for a fact that when my enlistment is over I can go right back to welding as a civilian.
That said, I'm also an amateur photographer. I've got quite a few videos on TH-cam honing my video editing skills making welding tutorial videos. Plus, I own a bunch of camera gear, editing software, lights, drones, etc...
I have no doubt this MOS is cool but will it pay the bills or provide opportunity after you get out? If so, I may switch to this MOS.
My fingerprints were processed yesterday. My physical is next. My Army recruiter says I can be in as early as January 2023 depending on when school starts.
      Thanks for any information.

@@marlonmoncrieffe0728 This type of job depends on how fast you can learn the equipment and I would assume how well you can read/speak.
If you know the basics of camera operation... ISO, shutter, aperature. Lighting, rule of thirds for photo composition, microphones, teleprompters... Public speaking, writing, etc...
If that is easy to you or you already know it, this MOS will be simple.

@@howardhughes6212 So did you get in? How’s it going?

@@lotus3574 nope. I saw multiple army recruiters and they’re too lazy to do the paperwork. I ask the recruiters to direct me to a military attorney so I can just pay for the paperwork to get done… lazy bum recruiters won’t even do that.
I’m done dealing with the bums in our military who are there to be lazy and collect an easy paycheck.
Currently I work in aerospace as a welder building missile systems for the government.
As a veteran with civilian skills I do more for the country that the clowns in uniform

I may be biased but I also believe it’s the best job in the Army

      What makes you think that?
I am considering a reclass to this M.O.S.
