Found your channel while doing research for building my own humidor cabinet. Do you have a preference between mdf core or ply core veneer sheets for your box's, and if so why? I'd want to stay away from mdf because of how it can swell, but the sheets tend to be flatter. Once they are sealed it shouldn't matter, but curious on your thoughts.
Would definitely do ply core for reasons you stated. You are right after you veneer over it it would probably be ok but i wouldnt want to chance. I have thought about making the doors out of mdf veneered with whichever hardwood i used.
At tht time i just had the smaller bandsaw and it was horrible at resawing. So it was easier on the tablesaw. Now i have an 18in laguna with resaw king blade and it works great.

Just curious. Since you have a bandsaw, why did you use the tablesaw to resaw?

What kind of Wood did you use?
That is spanish cedar
So I have a 40count humidor and I wanna make a ventilation “shelf” for my cigars to sit on. Thoughts?
In a cpl of the humidor videos ive taken a router and made vent holes through the shelf. Used a plunge router and took 1/16-1/8 off each pass.

Great work. Wish I had the equipment and ability to get the wood needed for this. Do you ever do commissions for making these?
Thank you I appreciate it. Yes i do.
@@DsHardWoodCreations do you have an email or other contact information so we can discuss this possibility?
@bear-wolfandmscathy626 direct msg me on my instagram acct. D’s Hardwood Creations
What nails/brads do you use?
On the trays i use 23gauge pin nails.
Cool
Thanks
I’m sure your shop smelled wonderful cutting all that Spanish cedar!
Definitely and now i have them in the house waiting for customer pick up and my house smells like a humidor. Love that smell.

Nice. I like that u took the time to dovetail them.
@@DsHardWoodCreations thanks! Dovetailing is what got me into woodworking.
It can be intimidating but i love doing it with hand tools because no loud machines. It just takes awhile if you have to maintain a schedule.
