regarding the perfumer/owner bit @ 6:55, corticchiato comes from a well off family and he happens to have a passion for perfumery and chemistry. thankfully he's quite a smart and creative guy, had his academic work published in international scientific reviews. he started his own house (and has set up production unit for essential oils) so that he can have full freedom and not get limited because of budgeting or whatever by big corps like LVMH. so the guy is in a favorable circumstance on which he doesn't have to put high profits above quality. that's why you don't see strong online advertising and stuff from parfum d'empire
Looking forward to this series’s continuation. Ambre Russe is among my regrettable buys. There’s a tepid tea element that dominates all for me, but others dig it. Just discovered Persolaise-what an superhuman talent-and was pleased to hear your name come up often. I was thinking, “Hey, I know that guy.” Of course, I don’t know that guy, but you know what I mean :)
I'm surprised you just discovered persolaise! He is very knowledgeable. I have actually smelled Ambre Russe already and I really like it, have to try on skin first though
@@RichMitch I think I landed on a Persolaise video ages ago and, being a prize jerk, took one look at some flamboyant shirt of his and turned it off. Now I’m a huge fan and hope his shirts grow ever more outrageous.
Great house. From these 5 the Vetiver and Mal-aimé are the ones more adequate to my taste. Looking forward for some more. If you got the big box I think they are like 20?
I've been waiting to hear something about Vetiver Bourbon, would appreciate any further thoughts. I've got a few from PdE and think it's a great house. Fougere Bengal is very good IMHO, a great cool weather fougere, and my favorite tobacco note. I know you hated Iskander, but I love it, and again, great in the cold. Wazamba, is also really good this time of year. Tabac Tabou is the love child of Fougere Bengal and Musc Tonkin. Must Tonkin is too feminine for me personally, but I think we're similar in that regard. Most of the rest need heat to shine.
There's a lot here to discover. Iskander was just so plain, very meh. Vetiver bourbon is very well made and very good ingredients, I think if you like the brand you'll enjoy it
@@belairscents the ones I tried in this video are the only ones I have tried from the brand. So, I don't really know other than what people have told me about it
I wonder if your impresions were different if you had a chance to try some of the older Pd'Empire frangrances in the older bottles 🤔 The ones you tested today are all newer, but the so called hyped ones can still be found in old style bottles (i.e. well macerated 😁)
@@lynnleglaire4819 we've all got notes like that! Vetiver is one of those notes that is so complex and versatile on its on, so no surprise you love it so much!
I don't know any from the ones in your uploaded here. I don't know Cuir Ottoman or Ambre Russe, but I have samples. Had them for awhile. I do know Tabac Tabou and I do like it. I just checked and the price of Tabac Tabou has gone up. Oh well. Find a used bottle I guess. I would like to sample Musc Tonkin.
Love this house. It’s gone under the radar for so long. I’m glad you’re the one going through them 🍻🦆!
Cheers Jermss, might do another video on them this week!
Hi! Excited about this one!!!
I have a discovery set from them, I’ll sample along when I get home! 😀
Let me know!
7:20 🤣 This is why i miss and love Live TV.
😂😂😂
They certainly sound interesting, so looking forward to the upcoming sampling episodes
More to follow!
I love it my friend. I guess I missed this vid
There's a whole series!
I’ve been on a vetiver binge as of late and I’ve really enjoyed vetiver bourbon
Looking forward to it going on skin!

At least 20 mate, some have loose samples in so have more
really like Wazamba , Ambre russe, Tabac Tabou , musc tonkin and cuir ottoman from the house.
Got them all to come
Even the wife's watching your videos now. I told her don't watch to much of that, you'll be spending all my money

Where can they still be found? 👀
Mal-Ame. Bad/Evil love? I love Muc Tonkin. It’s strong…don’t let the softness fool you. The Vetiver sounds great. Looking forward to the next lot .

Before deciding yes or no, on skin is the way to go. Rhyme of the day!

Then reaching skin,
Will prove too hard.
