Those commenting on the cigarettes dont know that smoking was everywhere back then. I don't know anybody who thought it was disgusting because it was just part of everyday life. I enjoy these programs. We sure were easy to entertain back then.
In high school in the early 70s we had a student smoking area on school grounds we called Cancer Corner. I started smoking in Cancer Corner when I was 14 in grade 9, and by the end of grade 9 most of my friends smoked. Only a few didn't. There would be 100s of students there smoking before school, during breaks, spares and lunches. We also smoked in the washrooms and change rooms before and after PE (the PE teachers never came into the change rooms). I started at age 14 and quit cold turkey at age 30.
has anyone noticed when Garry Moore comes on he is constantly smoking. I know one of the Sponsers was the Old Chesterfield cigarettes...but I later read where he died of cancer.
Whoever this "person" is that put this episode up,often either leaves out the month, but they often put up the wrong date completely. So be careful with ANY programs shown by anyone.
Betsy Palmer was just so sweet and adorable. 😍
I love when Betsy tells Bill not to talk with his mouth full! haha.
I grew up listening to many of the Sing Along With Mitch records My dad loved him and it as my introduction to the world of music
Great episode. Loved Jack!
Never trust people that smoke
I wonder whether that foil recording still exists...
I am so glad that Betsy Palmer didn't smoke during any of those episodes
This is a very 1950s TV show.

So what's your point?
Did you watch this to be entertained or just be a judgmental person?
@@sbalman There's no judgement involved. It's just sad is all.
The glorification of smoking, just horrible. Garry Moore died from Emphysema.
All that spitting and swallowing gave me naughty thoughts.. Go Betsy
