ফিলিস্তিনের জেরুসালেম নগরীতে অবস্থিত বায়তুল মুকাদ্দাস ইসলামের ইতিহাসে একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ মসজিদ। পবিত্র কোরআনে আল্লাহ তায়ালা মসজিদুল আকসার কথা তুলে ধরেছেন, এখান থেকেই সংঘটিত হয়েছিলো আল্লাহর রাসূল সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লামের পবিত্র মেরাজ। যুগ যুগ ধরে ফিলিস্তিন অসহায় ও নিরাশ্রয় মানুষের আশ্রয় ভূমি হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়ে আসছে।
