@@gillianeyre5089 Really great idea. Sometimes she needs that space and sometimes she is ready to play. The other kids need to have a way to know which it is.
Three things that stood out to me in this video was… 1. Aaron was frustrated with completing the jungle gym and said “ It’s delaying the progress and I apologize Crystal “ he was so calm even though he was irritated by it. 2. When Evie was still worried about Aurora using the jungle gym and kept an eye on her and also told her to be careful. She’s such a great sister. 3. When Evie was hugging Crystal she told Aaron and Aurora to join in. That was so wholesome. I would like to say that Aaron and Crystal do so much for their children and I love how thoughtful and detailed Crystal is with every task she does for her children.
Evie is so sweet! I noticed her telling Aurora "It's okay if you're scared" when they were climbing and playing on the ladder thing, and then when Aurora told Evie to look at her she was immediately sounding so supportive and confirming when she said she saw. Such a sweet and emotionally intelligent big sister! And so thankful for her room makeover!

I know it’s been said already , but PLEASE keep this just for Evie. Not Aurora or the other kids. If Evie wants to allow others to come in and share, then that’s up to her. I honestly feel quite protective of Evie because I see myself in her at times when I was younger. She sits back and is too nice to say no to anything or anyone invading her space. I honestly don’t care if I get hate for this comment but you and Aaron need to put boundaries in place for the little kids that it’s EVIE’S space/room and it’s entirely up to her if she allows others to come in and use her stuff.
I am so glad you gave Evie a special room to go to when she needs it. I think it will really help her. You are amazing, parents, Aaron and Crystal! ❤❤❤❤
Please please please for evies sake emphasize to the other kids that this is a safe space and sensory room not a free for all play room. The last thing someone needs when thy are overstimulated is kids barging in wanting to play. This is her space if they need a room to play in yall can make one but this is NOT IT
The family probably knows Evie and what she can tolerate more than anyone else…and her siblings seem to be sensitive and very caring to her…and any kid is going to be excited about new fun things in the house…
If all the kids enjoy the room and want parts of it in their own rooms maybe you’d benefit from having a hang-out room or “play room.” That way it’ll ensure Evie gets to keep her own room as her safe space, and the other kids (plus Evie) can always hang and enjoy fun in a playroom.
I think Evie wouldn't mind having others in her room. She told Crystal her younger cousins would enjoy the trampoline. She should set rules like if her door is open, everyone is welcome. If it's closed, it's Evie alone time. I love the room and I'm glad she loves it too.😊😊
Its obvious a lot of research and thought based on Evie’s input went into this room. I hope it provides her with the tools she needs to navigate her world. 💕
I love this for Evie. Please please please let this be only her own room and keep the children out. I recommend put a play area up for the other kids who wants the same.
@@cupcakesonrainydays Aurora asked for some things in her room. I bet that Crystal will do that. But, there is nothing wrong with learning how to share.
@@ericaaubie860yes to sharing but a sensory room is also a safe space where someone can relax and work out their feelings or frustrations in a healthy way and sometimes it’s best to be alone to deal with things. I love this but I truly hope you set some boundaries with the kids about it being EVIES ROOM because I can see them invading the space and it becoming more of a play room rather than a sensory room and safe space for her. As someone who is autistic and has 4 autistic kids we struggle to say no to people so its important the kids know not to ask or push to use the room.
That was the one thing that bothered me, the younger kids all in the room before Evie 😢 I get testing it out but they were playing. I thought it should only be the adults/bigger kids. Oh well, at least Evie was happy. I did like a few things! It turned out great ❤
If it’s Evie’s big room make over wouldn’t it have been nice to keep everyone else out until it’s finished so Evie gets to play in there first! All the young kids playing and it’s meant to be Evie’s first big special room. You said she’s being so patient to wait so then why weren’t the rest of the kids told to wait too!??

I honestly don’t care if I get hate for this comment but you and Aaron need to put boundaries in place for the little kids that it’s EVIE’S space/room and it’s entirely up to her if she allows others to come in and use her stuff.
10000000% agree
So happy for Evie!! Wonderful to have a quiet place to retreat to when she's feeling overwhelmed. Great job Crystal, Aaron and grandma!!
Love that Sadie was just lay on the bed watching the kids play. Lovely room Evie, enjoy. Jen 🇬🇧
Aaron and crystal are such a blessing to all of these kids
I love the room and I'm glad she loves it too.😊😊
@ednaneilson1897 i heard her say that. Shes a sharer.
Its obvious a lot of research and thought based on Evie’s input went into this room. I hope it provides her with the tools she needs to navigate her world. 💕
Try a weighted blanket for her! Very sensory and ASD friendly! ❤
But I do also agree with you. I think Evie will just be learning to put up healthy boundaries with her siblings or cousins when they want to play too
@@ericaaubie860it's not about sharing, it's supposed to be HER safe place, away from all the noise etc...not everyone invading and taking over. I definitely could have done with this as a child ❤ well done to all for doing this for Evie.
@@tanyabruce3659 I am sure Evie will have lots of time in her room. Aurora is asking for ome stuff so I am sure Crystal will give Aurora stuff too so she won't bug Evie.
I hope they let this be Evie's room only. It's her safe space. Aurora has the other big room with the attached bathroom. I am afraid Aurora is going to invade Evie's room because of all the cool stuff. Perhaps they need to do the same makeover for Aurora's room with the same things.
So happy Evie loves her room makeover❤ Gotta kick out of everyone trying the spinning chair. Jamie and grandma moment, so precious ❤ Enjoyed and thank you for sharing ❤
The room looks great and I love Evie reaction about her room I have a suggestion have you seen the black out tent it is very relaxing because it is really dark and if she is having a anxiety attack she can feel a calm and there is a blanket that help her sleep better because it is like a small hug I love you 😘❤️💕
I am so glad that Evie loved her sensory room makeover, she will achieve peace and solace as well. Love ya guys.
Love how the room turned out! Crystal, you truly are an incredible mom! The way you uniquely care for each of your kids is so special!
Side note: I loved seeing Jamie’s smile when grandma said she missed her! It made my day!
This Crystal best room for a child I have ever seen or for her friends, when they come over too, but have to santitise their hands. It helps keep this all clean at all times. I love love love this so much
I have autism and was only diagnosed last year at 40, that room is amazing. I have a hard time falling asleep but it’s my brain that won’t shut off x
I absolutely love this video, this family goes above and beyond for their children and how amazing they are with them and they show their love and acceptance. Evie smile literally lights up a room. You go girl, hope you have so much fun. My son really needs a room like yours xx
My 6 year old needs this exact room! She is also gymnastic/space mad and she would fulfil her sensory diet completely. I strive to be able do this for her. Well done on achieving her dream i hope beautiful evie enjoys!
I got the tisms too. I wasn't adopted until I was 19, but when I was, it was the first family who accepted and accommodated my needs. Now I'm able to unmask and for the first time I have a parter who know the REAL me and it's life changing. Thank you for giving evie this experience ❤
I'm very happy for you Evie you are blessed to have a Mom and Dad
You guys having to much fun...so happy for Evie...she was meant to be with your family ,this will change her life so much..she will grow,heal..excel ..❤
Evie has anxiously awaited her very special room just for her. I am so glad she got to help pick out some of the things she likes. It was so wonderful to see through her eyes the excitement and what was her favorites. Crystal and Aaron you have provided a wonderful inviting and safe room where Evie can feel comfortable. I loved the ceiling lights and how she can change them with a remote for herself. The Helix mattress for kids I have never heard of but very nice 😃
Evie, I hope you enjoy your very own sensory room I love all the purple and blue colors so calming.
What an amazing room for Evie. Looks like Aurora could benefit from some of these things as well. Crystal and Aaron you are amazing parents
Love seeing Evie smile as a mom of two kids with Autism this room is amazing. LOVE that you created that for her.❤
Congratulations sweet Evie, I hope you always feel safe and loved with the Pettits and know your a part of many peoples hearts and in many peoples thoughts and prayers.
My autistic daughter has a small mezzanine bed which she wanted close to ceiling as her hideaway cocoon. And she has vine leaves hanging down walls with fairy lights. They need their spaces. Stunning room for Evie.
Also Jamie is looking so happy. ❤
Crystal you are amazing for doing all this for your Evie. I'm sure you have done lots of research already but in case you missed this... the repetitive movements and rocking is usually something called stimming for children with autism. knowing this could help you understand Evie even more. You are such a wonderful momma!
So happy for Evie! You guys are such amazing parents 💜
Seeing Evie's reaction was so incredible. Despite having difficulties with expressing emotions, you can see in her eyes her excitement.
I hope you enjoy your new room Evie! ✨
It truly was! She loved it so much.
Evie is so precious! I can't believe how lucky you are to have found each other!
You guys did a great job! I love Evie's excitement. Btw, her hair looks so pretty. God bless all of you for loving Evie and taking good care of her. She's blooming! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
I love how you all did for Evie's bedroom with all the sensory stuff
Grandma is the Best !!! 😊🥰😇
Yay, Evie. You are the sweetest thing. I'm so happy you got your forever family. I am honored to get to know you. ❤
It turned out great ❤
Evie's room is great. Awesome how you all work together ✨ It's good to see Mark
Does Bryson still work for you guy. I wished we could see more of him.
I LOVE YOUR ROOM EVIE , THANK YOU CRYSTAL , I LOVE YOUR SHOW, I WATCH EVERYDAY, GOD BLESS YOU ALL 🙏🙏
Crystal you have done some great room makeovers before, but this is hands down my favorite! Evie is one lucky girl to get to live in it!!
Thank you so much!! I'm excited for Evie to enjoy it.
Agreed
Definitely
Crystal allowed them to play in there. That is her decision whether we like it or not. It's not going to make that room any less special.
Aw! This is incredible for you Evie! Sensory is great for many different things! I can see why the kiddod gravitated to her room, sensory activities are wonderful for everyone! I absolutely LOVE the galaxy theme, and the colors are soo pretty! Your comforter set is gorgeous! So happy that you have an outlet for you to feel safe and comfortable in! 💖
Congratulations on the make-over of Evie's room and taking on board her sensory needs and wishes.
As long as she has her own place where she can wind down and feel serenity, it's okay.
Oh im so happy for This roommakeover, to see that Evie was so happy to get her wishes, can't wait to hear her tell you something that she learned by being in her room on those day's she needs to be in there with no other people, or when she has her room full because its so much fun. ILY
Evie' smile brings so much joy
She is sooooo beautiful! Evie! Enjoy your room made especially for you! You are loved, sweet girl! ❤️
Evie's room is going to end up being the chill room. This is so awesome.
Oh yeah
Crystal the room is stunning! I’m always in awe at how much thought n effort you and Aaron put into every project you tackle ❤ Wasn’t Kylie gona help you with this room?

i truly love Evies room you truly are A amazing mom Crystal
Thank you so much!
This is so sweet and has me in tears. I wish i could make a room specific for my brother who has high functioning autism who moved in with me about two years ago after my mom passed away. I have always been protective of him growing up as he has struggled with social skills and other things i cant imagine how hard his life is every day but he still shows me with God he can overcome each days challenges. He is one of the strongest smartest people i know and it makes me extremely sad when people every day belittle him and make him feel less than. I pray Evie feels so loved and supported all throughout her life and i know she will with a sweet family like yours. God bless you and your new room Evie.
I absolutely love her room. Thank you for all the great ideas. I am gonna do my 5 year old grandson one now. He will love it. Evie is such a sweet girl. She's so thankful for everything. I'm so happy she is able to let you know her likes and needs. That's not always the case with some autistic children. I know she is gonna love her room for many years. God knew what he was doing when he placed that sweet child into yalls life. Thank you for sharing your beautiful, amazing family with all of us.
Congrats on your new room make over Evie
Why did this make me emotional?!
You have an incredible family and I love watching your vlogs here in the UK! Crystal and Aaron, you are amazing people and each and every one of your kids are beautiful inside and out! All are perfect!!! You take so much care for your kids!!! All the mothers of the world should be as good as you!!!!.....
I love Evie’s room makeover especially the moon and ceiling projections. Evie must feel really special with this surprise and loved the new mattress. Her bangs are growing out so is she going to grow them out. I love her with bangs, so cute. ❤
