The thing that gets to me about these games is the generic ammo. The K98 was chambered for 7.92x57 ammo while the M1 Garand was chambered for 30.06, yet the game treats them as being interchangeable. Same with submachine guns. The M1928 was chambered for .45 pistol rounds while the MP40 was chambered for 9mm. Yet again, for game purposes, the ammo is treated as being the same. The truth is that people had to make do with the ammo they were carrying and scrounge for enemy weapons under extreme circumstances, which was a very dangerous thing to do because if captured with an enemy weapon, either side would be very likely to summarily execute the offender.
Totally agree with you, the previous titles presented a dilemma, weapons such as the Thompson and M1911 were portrayed as hard hitting, but ammo was hard to come by in the field, dunno why they went that way
The ending of the last game where Karl has to shoot down a German plane high up in the air, forcing the player to make the longest shot in the game was better than this ending in my opinion. I was kinda expecting only one of the stealth submarines managed to get out of the port and then Karl and one of the side characters have to get on a boat and chase it down to destroy it before it can get away undetected by radar. But what we got instead is kinda disappointing. I mean the games story is fictional and kinda ridiculous so why not go all out.

Alhough I like this game alot, I was somewhat disapointed with the final killing of Möller. That would have been the perfect set for a whole new mission, instead of that "one-shot-epilog".

Nice Ace Combat reference. Yeah, the I-400 was a Japanese Submarine Carrier. However, few people know that 2 were actually captured by the U.S. Navy when the war ended. The submarine actually broke down and required repairs to get it back to Japan. The Americans & Japanese had to team up to get the boats back to Tokyo. Nobody trusted anybody at first, but eventually the men were able to fix them. The story itself is actually quite interesting and has even been shown in a documentary.
I like that the game shows operation kraken is about subs with v2 rockets cause it actually happen but the us that did that but the germqns were unknown the us had uss barb as a first sub with a rocket
Man, this game dissapoints me in a way. I expected them to move forward with this era. V2 arguably was the best for me, it had more long range angles and more heights to fight as a sniper. Making the game more pleasent in a way to play it. This one looks very similar to 4 and 3 which for me is not a good thing. I wish it was in another war

Sure but Pacific and Vietnam is what I want most. Would be sick to play as a Japanese or Viet Cong sniper in the jungle hunting down a US sniper in invasion mode.
You can aim guns in first person rather than just Third person for more accuracy Players can drop into the game as German sniper and interrupt Karl during storyline
you can take other weapon without dropping or swap with the current one. You can throw a bottle and knock the enemy unconcious if it hit on their head, a variety of ammo types. Modern TIme Travel Suppressors etc
you know all this is has been fun and all I been needing to say something after this game I think we really need to go to the Cold War right now It's almost been 10 years since that since V2 where they kind of hinted that we might go to the Cold War to be honest ( then we get three, four and recently five where is still setting in WWII) and you know the story kind of reminds me of how we even feel like Serious Sam ( no hate to the franchise or anything but can we move on to the story and finally kill mental)
kinda sad we only get one game every 4 years, we still have germany 1945,eastern front, pacific, cold war, vietnam and any other location and time period for an SE game
