Every year for my birthday since i was little my mom would play this song for me. Still till this day she plays it and honestly i like it. Don't care how old i get i will always love this song.
I'm one of those moms who bought this cassette, back in the day. I would play this song for my boys - both had one: one was born in 1974 and the other in 1980. I just copied it and sent it to my son to celebrate his 43rd birthday. Another favorite was a record called Music Machine. I wonder if anyone remembers that?
My babysitter gave me this song when I was little. A few years later I was having my bday party and I told my mom not to play this song. I thought we had an agreement but guess what .. She played it in front of all my friends. I was embarrassed and furious!
I've been trying to find this song since 1998 I was born in 1993 when I was a little boy my mom dad and grandparents would play this song for me on my birthday I loved this song so much that even when it wasn't my Birthday I would pop the cassette tape in and listen to it it broke some how when I was told it broke I cried much like I did just now as I was listening to the song I had flashbacks of those days my dad and pop pop was still alive and so was my uncle what I would give to go back and live those days again
READ TO THE END... I googled "my name is zoom and I live on the moon" and was overjoyed to see my actual name come up! Granted, the name Michael (I go by Mike) was pretty much number one when I was born (86). I was slightly disappointed to find that it wasn't a great recording, especially as an audio engineer, but I haven't heard it since I was like 12, so I'm still happy. WHAT CAN I DO TO GET YOU TO MAKE A DIRECT RECORDING OF THIS TAPE?? MONEY? ... Thanks again Update: captainzoom.com is there for me (and you, Patty Lou). Dog bless the internet.
