sad to see so many people putting towels on sunbeds and then walking away and maybe not returning till later that day . the hotel should remove towels on beds that are not occupied for at least half an hour
From my experiences of staying in Spanish hotels, I'd safefully say the British were always some of the first to put their towels down and then either go to breakfast or go back to bed and come back down to the pool midday to expect their beds still to be free.... I think the rest of Europe grew wise to them.......
The hotel should just have a policy clearly stating 'Any towels left unattended on sunbeds will collected and donated to charity'. Either that or just throw them in the pool.
@FOXHOLESLODGE Tell me about it!! my husband wanted to do it but i wouldn't let him!!! we didn't want to be thrown out! mind you, being around all the ''oldies'' made us feel young again!
We stayed here in May, 07 . so it was less busy, no sunbed rush. Its a great hotel actually !! What this needs is some dude with "balls" to go out there and chuck all the damn towels into the pool. Then film the creaking kneecaps, trying to retrieve em ! !
Hey Everyone I am here now and there is no such rule. People still get up early to put their towells out - very sad as there is always enough room to find a bed. I strongly recommend this hotel to everyone
been to los gigantes hotel three times, fab cause there are no young kids to ruin your holiday, i know kids need a holiday with their parents, but go to majorca and mix with the germans, didnt meet many jerrys in tenerife last time i was there,, great eh

I think its awkward if a resort does not have sufficient leisure capacity for its guests Our family plods along and we find in some places there is nowhere to go at all if you don't send out an advance guard to capture a spot. This makes it awkward for kids changing / resting and "support" during the day - we cant all be in the pool all day. It is selfish behaviour, but exacerbated by the greedy hoteliers who crampack unsuspecting overpaying punters.
Remove them yourself take them to reception say someone has lost some towels another good one is to throw them in the pool then watch with a angelic face as they wander down about lunch time ha ha

If I go to the pool and see sunbeds with towels on but nobody there I take them off and use the bed.
Until you do it with the towel of the wrong person. But it’s good that you do it. Just be aware of possible consequences 🙂
Looked like a 1 way ticket down those steps for most of them...fuck knows how they managed to get back up.

No name on those loungers , therefore I would chuck the towel in the bin including all the belonging of the person !

I never even use these.. I'll sun at the beach and maybe take a little swim in the pool not sit beside a pool all day
Always a problem in many hotels, but especially here as the beach at Los Gigantes is shite!
