The first season is good. Almost perfect. The second one on the contrary was made just like the new Star Wars. I wouldn't recommend watching the second season at all.

If you heard the complaints from The Witcher fans who read the books and then watched the TV series, it was very similar. p.s. The first season of the anime ends perfectly to end the story itself. There is huge scope for imagination, I would say. When the unknown lies ahead, given experience, it is better than the alternative. However, this is just my opinion.
Season 1 is solid 9 out of 10! But second season is not good like everyone else here has already said. But I still recommend you to watch it! By yourselves, if reaction is out of the question because of the haters!
This show doesn't have big fights with characters having super powers to draw you in. It just has great, great writing!

Just don't do season 2
they skipped one of the best arcs in the manga and my favorite character in this series.
First season is the GOAT.
