Perfect! I have an envelope punchboard but there are times when you need to figure out for thick things like this! I have made shallow boxes but knowing just how to get it right is not easy. I love your center it and then slide it over a bit - it worked perfectly!

Dang. Great video, but my card is too big and I don't have any paper large enough to make a square, lol. 🤣🤣🤣
Oh my! But, you can buy bigger paper at a home office supply store, hurray!! 😀
OR, glue two pieces together, and place the card so the seam is where the flap hinges?
Or make the flap of a different colour? There are so many ways to make an envelope!!😊

I decided to add a gift card with 'Do Not Open Till Christmas' to a Christmas card, and needed them to be separate so she could see the card itself right away. This tutorial is wonderfully easy! Thank you! I have one question- what is the best paper weight for envelopes for cards? Thank you!
Hi, I mostly use regular copy paper, which is usually 20lb, but if you want a bit more weight to it I recommend a 24lb paper, it gives it a bit more body and feels a bit more professional. If you want to go all out, you could use a 28lb paper.
You'd have to shop around for it, as I don't know if a Staples kind of store carries that. But then there is the internet...🙂🙂

i need to make a 10" x10" please help
You then need to start with a larger piece of paper, say the 11 by 17 size, it might just fit, and you probably can get this paper at any office depot. Or you can use a 12 by 12 scrap book paper. Thanks for stopping by!
