Tip: Put the CD in boiling water for around 3-5 minutes so the mirror side doesn't peel/crack when cutting plus it will be easier to cut! Like this so everyone can see this!

It is v.diff.for me to cut even though I put it in hot water for 2. Min. The shine part is curling in the borders/edges. What to do? It is not that much easier for me to cut the CDs as u told.

I love your ideas they are easy to follow along with you my only problem is when I cut a CD or dvd they just crack and that ruins the whole thing how do you cut them so easily without them cracking. Need your help please let me know. Thanks keep on with the amazingly beautiful ideas super wow.
If what you're using are DVDs you must separate the disc in two, then it becomes softer so it's easier to cut it

@lisa Ilam I read a comment that mentions boiling them in water first is how it's done without cracking.
I would start researching there. That's what I'm doing! Lol

my CDs and DVDs split and fray. what's the secret to cutting them without ragged edges****** I am editing this somewhat because people are liking my question, as in they have the same problem. I want to say, read on down and you will see the answer. it's the DVDs that can be done easily I am finding out because you can remove the plastic disc part
As I told before, if you let the cds in very hot water for at least 10 min you will be able to cut them easily

Not sure if this has been asked yet but what kind of scissors are those and is anything done to the CDs to make them easier to cut? I've tried a few projects with them and they seemed impossible to cut with such precision! These are beautiful projects!

No es una ciencia,se puede hacer a ojo;para hacer los círculos pequeños se puede calcular midiendo el diámetro de un lado del cd

Soak it in hot water for a few minutes first. Then use a stronger glue than she's used, like E6000, to hold them together.
Cd are so hard to cut even after heating up, why does everyone make it look so easy? It is not

Lots of good ideas, I've been wondering what to do with my hundred or so CD's that I no longer use, I just don't understand why 1200 people have given this a thumbs down.
My SO mentioned getting new CDs just the other day, while I immediately thought, "More reason for me to get rid of the many we have already!" 🤣
I think the thumbs down were probably people who realised they'd need stronger glue than PVA/school glue to really hold them together. Probably E6000 or UHU.
