I think the device works best on your own dogs as a training aide. If you responded appropriately to your dog barking (get up and go look out the window or the door front or back or the windows in the direction of the house your dog is wanting you to check ) and you tell your dog in a calm assertive voice "it's OK, I have checked the threat, good job, it's oK, now enhance your calm" (add your positive body language by stooping down and petting your dog
My 80 year old father goes for walks each morning and carries an ultrasonic dog repeller ( brand unknown to me) for safety. This morning he heard a man calling out for help. This man was being attacked by two dogs. My father went to this mans aid and using the ultrasonic repeller managed to get the dogs attention away from the man being attacked. Unfortunately my father became the new target for the attack. He is now in hospital with horrific leg and feet injuries that look like a shark attack victim. Both my father and the man who was attacked are now both in hospital. My father is facing many surgeries just to be able to walk again. To me these devices do not repel but can serve to make a dog even more aggressive.
Guns work, bear spray in the nose and eyes might work, and sometimes a boot to the nose works. When I was younger I was cornered by some vicious dogs, and putting the bottom of my boot to their nose / face usually did the trick. I didn't always have to strike them, sometimes feeling the hard rubber was enough to get them to stop. Once I was able to put a dog in a choke hold between my legs, and the dog whimpered, and I let it go, and then it behaved after that. The owners used a shock collar, but it wasn't on the dog that day and it was going to attack me. Thank God I didn't get bit like my brother did. I once used a running lawnmower to repel the dog that bit my brother.

well, ill ignore the comments about the video and comment on the product which noone seems to be doing. i have a question.... have you tried it on a dog that likes you? any dog that is protecting it's property, probably will continue to bark. but when i go out in the car with my dog it barks at everything it sees. so i wonder if this would deter him instead of me having to be super aggressive to get him to stop.

Hey as some friendly advice, you need to make it so that the background is clean and no junk is in frame. Also, take the music out, it's super annoying. Invest in a good microphone and make sure you test the levels and find a good spot for it. Also take your hat off, you look way to casual to be speaking to the world about products. Try to wear a button up shirt and no hat. I bet money you would get more veiws and better comments.
The music is loud, but I had no problem hearing what was being said. It would be easier though if the music wasn't so loud. As far as the product test, since I couldn't tell when you pressed the inaudible/audible button, I also couldn't tell how the dogs reacted to the inaudible tone. I have a dog whistle, and only one of my dogs responds to it. Supposedly, dogs will react to different tones. Are these devices adjustable?
Repelling my viewers is what I'm best at :) No music in future videos when I'm talking.
This one is not adjustable. I'm curious if it works on other animals.

Ya, new videos don't have much music.
It is a training device. Only needed to get a dogs attention long enough to quite the pet and reward the good behavior so that device is not needed in the future. It would make no sense to have a watchdog if any device could silence him from intruders.

I would never even think of testing a device I wasn't sure would work on a stray dog. Better to check it out on an animal that is contained than one that could jump at you.
