Their bond is so strong that even though Alyssa was temporarily married she tried her best to hate James but couldn’t, but James story... H.O.L.Y S.H.I.T. His breakdown in the car was just heartbreaking. The pain he went through in that hospital when Alyssa’s mum visited shifted plates for James. He was determined to see Alyssa again, to be with Alyssa again. But she turned him down. And the story from then on just drastically changed things.
Venxz Yeah they both went through such a massive change! And they’re each other’s first loves and what they went through together bonded them forever I think. They both know they couldn’t get that connection with anyone else, that’s why Alyssa ran from her wedding and James went back for her.
GossipVal1 they have some serious ptsd together, hence why season two was more... dark? It’s because of the after effects of what happened in the first season, James saving Alyssa. James sacrificing himself so that Alyssa wouldn’t be dragged into his (were to be inevitable) jail time.
Venxz Season two was so depressing really, but i like the more psychological side of it. I don’t really know how Alyssa feels about James “sacrificing” himself for her since neither of them references it, but i think Alyssa was angry because she felt guilt maybe? And for James it just reinforced his love for her. I also think James processed killing someone and moved on more so than Alyssa who was stuck with the severe ptsd
GossipVal1 oh and btw James did sacrifice himself in the s1 finale. He knew what their actions would lead to but James purposely hit Alyssa and ran off so that he’d look guilty. He wasn’t genuinely running away. He was making sure he was okay
okay so basically people have stopped vidding them and i'm so happy this exists and i may or may not be crying but this is just so so good thank you edit: i've watched this over ten times now and i am fucking sobbing don't touch me okay last edit: when he said "you have to focus on the good" and slammed on the breaks and there was alyssa and the music started up again and all of a sudden they were kissing every single time that's the part where i start crying really hard because it just _hits_ different

I mean Alyssa was a bit of a bit*h in season 1 but it hurt me loads to see her spirit entirely crushed in season 2. so numb & confused :( I hope if there's a season 3 we see her come into her own!
