Heaven, I'm in heaven And my heart beats so that I can hardly speak And I seem to find the happiness I seek When we're out together, dancing cheek to cheek Heaven, I'm in heaven And the cares that hung around me through the week Seems to vanish like a gambler's lucky streak When we're out together, dancing cheek to cheek Oh I'd love to climb the mountain And reach the highest peak But it doesn't thrill me half as much As dancing cheek to cheek Oh, I'd love to go out fishing In a river or a creek But I don't enjoy it half as much As dancing cheek to cheek Dance with me I want my arms about you The charms about you Will carry me through TO heaven, I'm in heaven And my heart beats so that I can hardly speak And I seem to find the/that happiness I seek When we're out together, SWING cheek to cheek
wow what a tremendous voice, the next Sinatra, one fault he must look at his audience not the heavens, rapport Jamie its what Sinatra had in spades, get it and you are a STAR. BIG TIME
He was indeed looking at his audience - and a vast one it was! ... You clearly aren't familiar with the enormous oval-shaped Royal Albert Hall in London. It can't be compared to some night club as It seats 5,000 people and in addition to those standing in the arena, there are stalls all around the sides. Behind them are the boxes and above them are the front circle and then the rear circle. Right at the top, all the way round the uppermost part of the hall, is the gallery and people stand up there too. Just above them are the lights, so when you say he must look at his audience, that was precisely what he was doing, singing to all those folks standing near the dome of the hall, as well as to those in the seats down below. And yes, he is a star, big time!
@@adam28xx Only just seen your above comments. I have actually been to the Royal Albert Hall, several times. I take the point about the seats being up to the roof almost, and that he is including all the audience. I just think he does that too much, just picking one member of the audience out and PRETENDING to sing to them is a technique that i have heard explained by several show business old hands, especially regarding Mr. Sinatra, who, you will agree was rather good at singing.
And very well too! .... I've uploaded him singing these other songs from the same concert, so check them out: I Won't Dance; From This Moment On; If I Had You; and the Guys and Dolls duet with Seth MacFarlane of 'Family Man.' All absolutely superb!
OMG Jamie, You're far more talented than I knew and even more so, I love so much your style. OMG I had no idea.
Great singer, wonderful band and an arrangement by the incomparable Billy May. What more could you ask.
Thanks You Irving Berlin

Heaven, I'm in heaven
And my heart beats so that I can hardly speak
And I seem to find the happiness I seek

Heaven, I'm in heaven
And the cares that hung around me through the week
Seems to vanish like a gambler's lucky streak
When we're out together, dancing cheek to cheek
Oh I'd love to climb the mountain
And reach the highest peak
But it doesn't thrill me half as much
As dancing cheek to cheek
Oh, I'd love to go out fishing
In a river or a creek
But I don't enjoy it half as much
As dancing cheek to cheek
Dance with me
I want my arms about you
The charms about you
Will carry me through
TO heaven, I'm in heaven
And my heart beats so that I can hardly speak
And I seem to find the/that happiness I seek
When we're out together, SWING cheek to cheek
Gorgeous 😁💙
