Jazz fans.... Ainge will definitely want to tank this year....every night he lays his head down on his pillow he envisions Cooper Flag in a Jazz uni! Jazz at the feb trade deadline will be big time sellers...Teams like Wash and Nets will be tanking out of the gate! Jazz won't wait too long to get in the mix! Jazz don't have a number 1 or number 2 player on their team....their best chance is still to be a player at the top of the draft!
I was looking at the mock '25 drafts (I know, I know...) and I'd say there's at least 5 maybe as many as 8 players coming out next year that would have been clear #1 overall picks this year. This is the Tank Year!! If we tried our best, traded our players and future draft picks and exceeded the salary cap...there's STILL no path to the playoffs this year for the Jazz. This is The Year. Let the tank-a-thon commence!
AND I HATE TANKING!! With very rare exceptions, it's just a shot-in-the-dark and guaranteed employment for GMs who aren't winning. Thing is, this is one of those years!! The Jazz get a top 5 pick out of this draft (and they've got 17 and 23 or thereabout), other young assets and THEN start constructing the competitive team we've been waiting for.
What top draft pick in this class will have a fall like Collier I wonder.

Am I crazy for seeing alot of James Harden in Dylan Harper? The way he handles the ball, gets to his spots, takes contact and finishes well, draws fouls , and the playmaking feel with similar size. Harper like Harden is built like an absolute tank. If you watched the CALI side quest video, Harper looked crazy big there. Markelle Fultz since I started watching basketball post 2009 is the best college guard prospect I have ever scouted and I still believe he would be a superstar if not for the yips. Am I crazy to think Harper can come close to that?
What's up with the Jazz? I thought they were going to be good last year, but it all flopped. They have so many quality young players. Is it just a matter of process and time?
A sub 500 team has a star? respectful is all in giving a player a roster spot and paying the player. the d word is obsolete now ok.

Would the Jazz have been better off if Lauri Markkanen had been an average player? He became an All NBA player with the Jazz while being one of the last players to sign a contract when he was last a FA. just a thought

Everyone talks about what is best for the jazz…. But this discussion always doesn’t include what is best for Lauri m. I mean…people talk about doing right by this player and that player…. But not mr. M. Insisting an all-star player spend his entire career on a sub 500 team… seems disrespectful….
Lauri can choose not to resign. The choice is his.
