I though that was the mistake that cost them the game ,because Sosa was on his game today.
I know that even an ironman like JT needs a break every once in a while. But when I see Stubbs behind the plate, it just seems like a curse. He is a minor leaguer playing on one of the best teams in baseball. Please send him somewhere where he can be useful (bullpen catcher?) and get a real backup for JT.

I am not fan of Thomson & I am royally sick of these games where half the bench is in the lineup. Does he really think we can win games with Sosa, Pache, Rojas & Stubbs?! BUT today is probably the only time I’ll give him a break because JT said his knee was sore, Schwarber w/ his back & Trea will be out for a few more weeks.
Regarding Stubbs, he is a backup catcher & the only position where there isn’t multiple backup players. Stubbs definitely isn’t great & I’m not defending him but there aren’t too many backup catchers to choose from. I do think there could be one in the minors & that why they only have him a one year extension for a little above minimum salary.
Lastly, Stubbs doesn’t get much playing time & that could also be a cause for not performing well, maybe?
