I just ordered one. Think of it as a copy of the Makita CXT (12-volt) VJ05Z but with 39 percent less volume, 24 percent less area, and 25 percent less weight. Like the Makita, the Skil has orbital action, a brushless motor, a nice LED light, a 3/4-inch stroke, a dust-clearing blower, a tiltable base (requiring an Allen wrench), and a soft start that you can disable. Both brands can use the Collins coping attachment. I was tempted to go with the Makita because it offers four optional attachments, including a splinter guard and a vacuum attachment; and while I own 3 Skil 12v inflators, I own 14 Makita 12-volt tools. In the end, though, I couldn't resist the Skil's smaller form factor and lower weight. Those two benefits mean that it should be easier to use upside-down. And my wife is more likely to like it.

I would love to see Skil follow what Milwaukee and DeWalt do with duel 12v/20v chargers. I feel many of their 12v tools would be great for my uses as a DIYer, (this jigsaw, the oscillating tool and small circ saw) but then I’d want the 20v line that has a hammerdrill and a more powerful impact driver. Of course their first major step in getting their full lines in Lowe’s or Home Depot with full displays so you can get your hands on them. They need to find a permanent home!

I'm hoping next year Milwaukee updates their m12 jigsaw. Brushless Fuel model, barrel grip, speed settings, orbital function.

Which one you feel stronger 10yeArs later I saw an older video you did a m12 Milwaukee brush jigsaw and you liked the scrolling doing more like a circle so now what or which of this two will you recommend the m12 Milwaukee not fuel version or this Skil brushed not the brushless or this exact brushless version which is 139-200? Both say 5yr warranty but again price it’s not an issue hmm it’s more like 12v vs 20v brush this Skil is newer and noticed more control features and the variable trigger and orbital option are more in the Skil but want your option as you guys have tested and maybe used both in the field

USB charging would actually be cool - you could leave one plugged into the vehicle's USB port and have it charged when you needed it without needing a dedicated vehicle' charger. Examples could be a camper who wanted to run an airbed, or tyre, inflator, someone who kept an impact wrench in the vehicle for wheel changes, a flashlight, or whatever.

Bosch makes great Jigsaws. The SKIL is great for the $$$

really wanted to like it, but unfortunately the one I tried wasn't fairly squared with the cuts. For rough cuts, it should be fine .
