I served with Molly in Cleveland. She was a solid leader and well respected by her crew. They even called her “The Old Man”, that says a lot about her as a leader and a CO. RIP Commander Waters.
Being a recipient of an organ donor, these mean so much to me. On August 30th, 2024, my family and I made the decision to donate my baby cousin organs. We lost her, but she was able to donate to 3 people to give them life, and we wore proud to honor her.

God bless Molly , her family , shipmates and the Coast Guard ! , Who saved my life and the lives of two other crewmembers off the F/V "PETREL", which was lost 75 N. miles out to sea at night in a storm after the boat was destroyed after a flash back from a stack fire ! 6 N. miles S.E. of Santa Barbara Island on the 21st. Of May 1977 , this was my first job out of the Navy ,we hung onto a 5'X5' foot hatch cover without survival suit's until we where picked up by a USCG 52-A chopper, your service has saved countless lives including ours , thank you , and GOD BLESS !
This is such a heart wrenching but heart warming story. People don't like to hear this but this is God working, it's hard for us to understand. Through Molly another person lives. Thank you Molly for your service to your country. My condolences to Molly's family. God Bless all of you.

After watching Molly's story, and witnessing her beautiful Honor Walk..I am going to change my driver's license. I want to be an organ donor. Thank you, for emotionally moving and inspiring a stranger

So sad there was such division between the sisters....what a burden for their mother to have to bear, keeping their lives separate the way she was forced to do. Hardness of heart has nothing to do with hardness of resolve, or respect. I’m glad for her sake that one sister had the guts to try to heal the breach before the other died. Sad.
Nearly half a century ago our RE teacher was off ill and the art teacher filled in. The lesson was based on 'Love Thy Neighbour'. Mainly because of my relationship with my brother the words he said that day have always stayed with me: “You don't have to like someone to love them, love starts with respect." I'm sure Molly will always be at her sister's side and any falling out they may have had have long been forgotten.
Absolutely heartbreaking that a young woman and beautiful soul was taken away too soon. Made me cry watching this. My uncle was in the coast guard and passed last year we miss him every day! Your family is courageous and strong.
How very sad and yet touching. Rest in peace Molly and may your family find comfort that you gave life to others in your final act of service in your life. I'm sure you will never be forgotten. God be with you.
